anyone here watching The Gaze?

I'm not watching it yet I wanted to ask opinions because I haven't really saw people talking about it and I don't know if it's worth it.

i dont recommend it imo, i liked the second couple more but even then i thought whats the point of watching when im not enjoying it so i dropped it

its not double helix but its a show that i didnt watch and looks historical, so im guessing its either kill to love or the new cbl journey with you

Yo I dropped all BLs I have been watching in favor of South Korean thrillers. A good decision on my part, finally. I also will watch other genres but for now only non-BL/GL. I think I got tired of the same formula for BL (and GL)... So the only option is to watch straight series... Especially thrillers (which admittedly contain less romance in general).

I'm still subscribed to this club though. I'll probably be back after I get my fill.

Series I'm watching now and enjoy:

1. The Legend of Kitchen Soldier

2. Weak Hero Class 1

I also started a number of other series... Goblin, Moving, Mouse, My Royal Nemesis. I want to start The Glory soon too.

I recommend y'all watch Flower of Evil. It's exquisite.

I personally get stuck on C-Dramas. I tried out various K-Dramas but they don't hold my attention for long, nothing against them though. All well made overall, but I just love the mandarin language. If you are interested I would recommend Reset. Has that thriller aspect to it. Minimal romance cause the focus is on the who the killer is and how the reset works.

It’s nice that you could do so many things and meet so many different people. Enjoying food during a trip is important. Congratulations to your nephew you must have been so proud. I want to try travelling alone one day.

Finally back home after 9 weeks of travel. Getting back to my shows is harder than I thought, so I'm finding myself starting new shows instead (I don't know why I do this). I just started Love of Silom with Poom and Up. I'm enjoying it. Hope everyone's well.

Smoking is a huge part of the culture in China. A major portion of the population smokes.

I knew you would have some info on this. I think, like me, you are an information collector. I mean, you must be to be a lawyer but you also know about politics and history. I don’t have a good memory for as much information as I would like, but I love reading about and learning about other places and cultures. Of course I always want to know the “why” behind everything. I am currently reading A Brief History of Korea but I have also been looking for something comparable about Thailand. If I could, I’d read about all the countries I watch shows from. Sometimes I just try to figure out what elements—like smoking—are in the background of enough dramas to reflect on actual societal trends. Drinking culture in Korea is a good example, or belief in luck and all kinds of prayer in Thailand.
