I have several unfinished series that I need to complete also, but they're staying on hold until this series is over.
I think I'm watching my most very favorite type of love story. Both leads are into each other (one is the protector) and treat one another lovingly and sincerely? or gently? I don't know the right words to describe it. It's like the warmth is coming through the screen, but also strong attraction and the joy of being together.
That's an awesome feeling to have when you find a series that can evoke these kinds of emotions. That's true art.

That being said, I think from Lu Feng's perspective, this certainly is the truth and really, how he interprets Yi Cheng's behavior and reacts to it is what matters to the story.
Lawd they have us out here seeing things from Lu Feng's perspective 😭
However, I was hoping for a realistic toxic relationship. The kind that is more subtle, like gas lighting and systematically isolating Yi Cheng from any outside support and it not be a mental illness, but a full blown obsession. I understand why they didn't go that route, but was still a little disappointed.
Leave it to China to go the extreme route.

As for the bipolar disorder, it bothered me a little that they portrayed it that way, almost as if he could spend a little time in the hospital and be completely cured.
Ah yes, now that you mentioned it they could have been more considerate of mental illness and spreading awareness. Perhaps a series of scenes with time jumps between them showing Lu Feng recovering, having bad days, etc.
This feels like something on par with Until We Meet Again,
For me there is no higher praise than this!
I will wait for it to wrap up so I can binge watch.
It's the kind of feeling that almost makes me wish I wasn't single. Almost. Cuz there are plenty of stories that make me feel lucky to be alone, haha.
