I ended up binge watching Bed Friend yesterday evening (and early this morning), and it was a good surprise, given the low ratings the series (standard and uncut) have on MDL (7.6). I honestly liked the relationship between King and Uea, even though the topic of sexual harassment was pretty repetitive and omnipresent.
Uea the main character and the one suffering from it many time either in his family and in the workplace may be seen as pretty passive and assertive, which maybe could explain why people didn't like the story. I found it ok, as long as the series was clearly against any kind of harassment and didn't romanticize it (don't get me on TharnType or I may end up putting an all-nighter and we'll reach page 4000 in this forum pretty quick).
I didn't watch any series with NetJames, so now I have something to add to our Ships we loved thread in the BL group. I fell hard for Net's smile, he's quite close to Gulf in my personal ranking.
Cherry on the cake, Thomas (from Your Sky) had a support role, and he was killing it.
Now comes the dilemma, should I watch the spinoff The Middleman's Love, given that the ratings are even lower, and by experience I hated most of the shows below 7 I watched. I may binge watch it for Net, James and Thomas (in support roles).
My Summer of You ep2 was good. Not wild and crazy good, but the 25-min episode fled so quickly, I'm now craving for another one. Will have to wait until next Wednesday.
