Pfff I've been trying to clean my CW list and it's no joke. Between the Chinese (straight) series of 30+ episodes, the constant newly airing shows, the older dramas I really want to watch and the amount of recommended series I get everywhere, I need days with at least 96h.
Here is my new list for this week:
Airing series I'm watching:
My Summer of You (I like it, Wednesday),
The Prosecutor's Proposal (this one is good, so far another 10, Thursday),
Bittersweet Love (not sure I'll watch until the end, Friday),
Don't Be Too Emotional (a 10 for me, Friday),
Winter Sun (Changyang and Qinglang are so damn hot, nothing more to add, Friday),
The Edge of Horizon (ok but not my fav, Saturday).
I wanted to start When Oranges Fall and Payback, but for now I'll wait, because I want to keep up with all the airing shows.
Series/movies I just finished:
Present Perfect / Present still Perfect: I watched both movies back to back, and I was actually surprised how badly rated it was. There is nothing spectacular in the story, it's more of a gay romance than a BL but it was sweet and I liked how both characters were portrayed. I agree the second movie was better than the first, maybe also because the 2 main leads had grown up and accepted the fact they were gay and in love. The first movie is from 2017, the second from 2020 and you can really feel the weight of traditions, commitment with what society is expecting of men and how hard it was to be gay 10 years ago. I gave the first movie a 8/10 and the second one a 8.5/10.
Lost to You: I really enjoyed this series until the last 2 episodes that were a bit boring. The open ending felt a bit strange, but I liked it. I gave it a 9/10
Bed Friend: I spent a nice evening, discovered Net and (almost) fell in love. 8.5/10
Unintentional Love Story: another nice moment, nothing wild, some cuteness, 8.5/10
Blackout: thankfully it was really short 4 eps x 11 min, I already forgot what it was about 7.5/10
I finished My Royal Nemesis (straight drama) and even if the ending was a bit lacking, I really enjoyed it, it's a good Korean RomCom. Gave it a 9/10 (decreased by 0.5 due to the ending, that could / should have been at the same level than the first 14 episodes).
I plan to start Blue Lips tomorrow, and my goal is to finish Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island season 2 and Me and Thee as well as 2 straight dramas before the end of the week, while staying on track with the ongoing airing series. Not sure I'll sleep much in the next days!
By the way, anyone planning to watch Blue Lips?
