Quantcast

I only have 2 currently airing BLs so I started Love Upon A Time tonight. I wasn't sure what to make of the first ep but I decided I needed to keep watching Net & JJ, plus it's funny. I didn't see "Comedy" listed as a genre so I don't know if it's supposed to be or not.

It's almost FRIDAY!!! For me anyways.

I'll prob be up late watching Net & JJ for as long as I can.

Yes, it's a comedy at the beginning, but it takes a more serious turn later, which is better for the series overall (imo). I hope you enjoy the series and your weekend 😄

I think you made the better choice: While "Love Upon A Time" got much better in the course of the series, "Oranges" has been an utter delight right from the start. (And this from a Domundi partisan!)

lol, thanks mr p =D

Holy cow, this happened fast.

GMMTV has terminated Justin Angus Moir (15-year-old actor who plays August in "When Oranges Fall") for some highly objectionable past internet posts.

This is just FYI. I do not mean to start an unpleasant debate in this group about whether or not it's fair to hold a 15-year-old to account for past posts, or about whether GMMTV is doing the right thing or just buckling to a fandom pile-on.

I personally won't allow this to diminish my enjoyment of this lovely series.

It's a shame, as I thought he was promising young actor.

Thanks, I wondered about later in the drama. It seems like some serious stuff ahead.

I'm already watching WOF, but a bit slowly so I can time the last few eps when the final drops. 😊
I plan to keep watching Love Upon a Time until the end or whenever I think I've had enough. 🤣

This actually brings up an interesting conversation on controversial actors and the personal enjoyment of a drama they star in. I personally don't usually mind watching after knowing because in my view, there are so many people involved in the creation of a drama, its would be like punishing 100 people to hate on 1 person. I have to say this is also the only time I can get behind AI face swapping is the actor being replaced in question did something that requires prison time.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? Does the degree of the actors actions have an impact on whether you will watch/continue a drama?

I only saw the image first and was scared it was a pairing separation from GMMTV 😱 15 years old is so young ( I don't know what the posts were about)

Exactly.

Me, too - but I'm a patient person, and I'd rather they take their time and do it right.

Don't Be Too Emotional ep 4

Watching this episode today was a very bad idea. I was already having a rough day, so I hoped for some comfort and entertainment. No, not here. Everybody was getting on my nerves in this episode. I can't stand P'Dan, I want to skip all his scenes. He's just so pushy and in your face. Lil'Jane is just plain stupid. What was he thinking? His decisions make no sense to me. Jet is a troublemaker and now his big brother has to clean up his mess. BigJ is a hunter stalking his prey. Random people poking their noses into other people's business. The only nice thing this episode was that shower fantasy scene. I wonder if my opinion will change after some good night's sleep...

For me, it depends on what they did.

There have been a few actors I've definitely lost a little respect for because of their views on certain things, but that didn't really make me stop watching them in another series, since their opinions are theirs and mine are mine.

However, if an actor was found guilty of gross or illegal acts, I'll avoid anything they've been in for indefinitely.

Same. Almost three months of delay is a lot, but it also means that if it had been released as scheduled, the quality would probably have been compromised.

I do the same.
