For FortPeat I might watch this, but as a whole the trailer didn't impress. Sure looks like it's going to be spicy, but if disasters like Peach Lover though anything, you actually need the plot and character chemistry to work out for the show to be a success.
I’m assuming the chemistry will be good since the main couple are a couple in real life.
I watched a bit of the trailer, and the acting seemed a bit stiff, but I’m curious and will probably wait for some feedback. But knowing they’re a real couple, I might be tempted. 😆
The club is suddenly active today ! I finished Match Point yesterday, and I had the same thoughts and rating as Dora. I’m really satisfied with this new pairing and will definitely watch their next projects together.
I was supposed to watch last week’s episode of Serizawa tonight, but I think I’m too tired, so I’ll watch it tomorrow. I have to wake up earlier than usual because I have to change cities, from Daegu to Jeonju 🚌
I fell in the bathroom earlier, so I think I’m going to have so many bruises tomorrow 😆

I'm extra slow on watching BLs these days. Partly busy, partly feeling down and maybe burnt out. Not sure if it applies to just dramas or life in general. My mind is all over the place. I haven't been able to focus on any one drama. I keep starting a new title then ditch it and move on to the next one. Then repeat.
If I keep it up I might get through my PTW list sooner than later. 😮🤣
When I was creating it postimages just kept messing up on me and I was getting tired of it so I’ll try to work more on it sometime maybe next week unless someone knows another site like post images. That’ll also work? Lol 😂

Duty First, Kiss Later
I was home sick today so with some unexpected time I actually watched the whole series. My head hurts but I finished it. They have the deadest fish kisses I've ever seen. 💀 How disappointing is that, especially with that title!?! Sure, intimacy isn't necessary, but if there's going to be kissing then do it right and with feeling, especially at that age!! That knocked it down to a 7.
I think they are a super cute couple and I adore the older guy, Takoi, with his cuteness and dimples. Plus he has the goofiest funny expressions of any BL lead I've seen. He cracks me up. 😂
Shiono is really handsome and one of my favorite types of MLs, except I have to wonder if his "zero people skills" excuses him from the first "kiss" which was non-con and never talked about.
For most of the show the police spent a lot of time tacking up posters on the wall board. 🤔 And when they weren't doing that they were busy being busybodies, a typical J-drama thing. 🙄
Overall it was a decent watch but by the end I couldn't tell if Takoi really understood the issue Shiono had with him being overly friendly. And Shiono even said he would have Takoi transferred when he has a chance in the future, to be where ever he is so he can watch over him. Sounds exhausting to me.
The more I watch JBLs (and straight J-dramas but not so much this year) the less I understand their dating culture. I know they're just dramas and not real life, but still...I often see the same pattern in many J-dramas. I call it the "Typical J-drama dating theme of "I like you so I can do whatever I want no matter how you feel or what you say, unless you can prove you like someone else" trope. And even that is debated! 😆🤣
Pretty much everyone here has heard me complain about J-dramas in one way or another, lol. Sometimes they are just so dang annoying. This drama wasn't as bad as all that or I would have dropped it. I do pick the JBLs I'm most likely to enjoy cuz I don't want to miss some of the really good ones that I know Japan has to offer. I still have 5 JBL titles in my lists to watch!
