Nour — eps 8 & 9

I need a welfare check after the EP 8 and 9. 🙈😰😱🆘

First of all never have I felt this conflicted about and NC scene, usually it's pretty easy to judge is it a good one or bad (either just poor execution, lack of consent, odd editing etc). However this was kind of good, but also really really gross. I needed a separate gore warning for that one. And yeah just generally like I don't know where to even start with these two eps...

First of all regarding Chita and his list of wrongs.... I get it, he loves dr. Jirat, because he was first person in a long time acting kind towards him. But turning him, even if it was to save his life... like Chita knew the consequences of turning Jirat and considering a lot of the negative aspects that come with being turned into a Nour I don't think he should have done that.

We saw it, the Doc almost lost controll of himself when he worked, tried to kill his brother and in the end he had to leave his whole family. And then adding to the mess was that I don't think we got good enough picture about Chita's past to well... I wouldn't even say justify but to understand why he has kept killing so many ppl. I am unsure how at this point I want this to end with Chita and the Doc, bc I am liking Chita less and less as the show approaches it's end.

Now the second mess of the two eps was James and Ken. This was very much back and fort with trust issues and I don't blame James feeling like he doesn't know where Ken stands. I hope, truly hope that Ken could see that he has a reason to live and James is his new chance at love.

Considering where ep 9 ended I am terrified of what will happen next, I have a very bad feeling this might be series that doesn't get a sappy fluffy ending.

Dora, Art Girl, for my watch list, I cheated 😆 I did it before leaving because I knew it would be frustrating to do it only on my phone. I made a note and only added the colors when I posted it and added the category "To finish" at the end, so it only took me 5 minutes 😆

😉😊 At least I feel less inadequate now. Lol.

Me too! 😆 For sure though Tiffany is very organized!

Last night I made a note of titles I want to watch, so it could be my October list. 😁🤷🏻‍♀️

MY OCTOBER WATCHLIST

Already aired:

Summertime
Love Destiny
The Edge of Horizon

Done airing in Oct then I'll start. Some might spill over into Nov:

Unlucky Bae
Weirdo-101
Hold on, Harutora-kun
Popular Serizawa Acts Weird around Me
Love Is Better the Second Time Around Season 2
A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream Extra

I'm currently watching Mr. Fanboy for the group watch.

Have I missed any cute dramas?

Late last night I checked out the first ep of Match Point. It felt more like a yelling match cuz of the dads, which was not appealing. Somehow this drama didn't click with me, including both of the leads. I love Java but that's not enough. It has a good rating though...so maybe I can try it another time.

BigPark ship was clearly on the rocks.

I did not know they were rocky until recently. The first time i heard that big was dealing with a scandal was yesterday on twitter🤯 The BL world is always full of drama

I completely missed this piece of info. I don't have twitter so I'm fully relying on this group to be updated! 🤩

TruFilm's Second Plate teaser. Coming Oct 6 or the 8th

Police in Love ep 3 : I loved it ! Sometimes it can be a bit silly, but it’s not the main thing of the show, so it’s okay. OMG, Thear was so flirty this episode ! 😆😳 It’s pretty fast-paced, so I’m guessing we’ll have a real kiss (with feelings) on Saturday.

@Art Girl

You asked if you’re missing any cute dramas. I’d say Oops! Mysterious Sounds and Police in Love. Oops! Will have a mystery element but so far it is just cute. I can’t imagine it will get too serious. Police in Love may be too silly for you, but I don’t usually like silly and I like it. I know, I have a high tolerance for mediocrity, but still you might try it.

You Maniac is not nearly as edgy as it is advertised to be, but I don’t know if the characters will annoy you or not.

I know you were looking at shows that will end in October so maybe these aren’t included in your list because they will end later.

Also, Love Destiny and Summertime both have endings that frustrated a lot of people. They weren’t sad or anything, though. I still thought both were worth watching.

Thank you for the info Dora! Yeah, Police in Love is a def watch after its over in Nov. Same for You Maniac. I don't have Oops! on my PTW list cuz of it being a murder mystery with a supernatural theme. One of my least fav story/theme combos. 💀

Love Destiny and Summertime

I don't have much hope I'll get through Love Destiny, but thought I might give it a go. Never know! As for Summertime, I just came here from watching EP 1. I like the leads just fine but nothing about the story is catching my interest. I usually like friends to lovers but there are parts I'm not liking much at all. I'm prob gonna stop here and take it off my list. 🙄

Nour ep 8 - 9:

The acting ,the chemistry, the plot... This show feels like a 10 to me

Im both invested and not ready/scared for the ending next week.

The lasted ep got me thinking who is cutting onions, i like seeing every character's perspective like every character has some points about the decisions they made.

Chita is resentful toward Nours because he both lost his lover and was forcefully turned, later on he ended up doing the same thing to dr jirat out of desperation for him to live, love can make you desperate to do anything in order to save your lover's life

I don't think he will have a happy ending because his behaviors dont look redeemable but will see how it turns out, i might need some tissues to cry lol

JBL movie "Hitsuji no Kawa wo Kita Kemono" / "Monster in Sheep's Clothing" coming October 28, supposedly on Amazon Prime - although I don't know whether this means it'll be available internationally (with English subtitles) or just in Japan.

Synopsis: "The story follows university student Daichi Kusakabe (Kashiwagi), who gradually becomes attracted to Jun Igawa (Suzuki), a seemingly perfect man who appears as his older sister’s fiancé. However, Jun has a hidden side to him, and the story gradually shifts from a bright, sweet coming-of-age romance into a dark suspense thriller. Themes such as sin and forgiveness, as well as family, are also explored."

thanks for this, added it to my list =D

On which platform did dmd jj write his stories? I saw that a platform named tapas is shutting down so I wanted to ask.

Tiffany:

Depending on feedback :

• Make it right 2026 (ends 2nd)

• Hold on, Harutora-kun (ends 1st)

My final opinion on "Harutora-kun": It's not top-notch, but it's cute and sweet, and I really enjoyed it. There are a few weaknesses, especially the clumsy symbolism of Sui's mask, but there was far more that I liked, especially the protagonists (Harutora's endearing awkwardness, Sui's endearing insecurity and shyness) - and as usual, I am very able to overlook the flaws that are far outweighed by the good. Although there is a bit of school bullying and a stern disapproving mother, the themes are handled quickly (to the point of feeling rushed) and without getting heavy, so it's basically a feel-good comfort watch. @Tiffany, I predict that you'll like it, too.
