My final opinion on "Harutora-kun": It's not top-notch, but it's cute and sweet, and I really enjoyed it. There are a few weaknesses, especially the clumsy symbolism of Sui's mask, but there was far more that I liked, especially the protagonists (Harutora's endearing awkwardness, Sui's endearing insecurity and shyness) - and as usual, I am very able to overlook the flaws that are far outweighed by the good. Although there is a bit of school bullying and a stern disapproving mother, the themes are handled quickly (to the point of feeling rushed) and without getting heavy, so it's basically a feel-good comfort watch. @Tiffany, I predict that you'll like it, too.

Only a few of us are watching as it airs but I posted about it 2 pages ago and someone else on the previous page. We both watched ep9 as well, though. It’s been really incredible, for sure. But I was worried about my mental health after ep8! I’m counting the hours until the finale but I’m also scared for the ending. I can’t picture how it will end.

Also, in non-BL news, it is going to be close to 100 degrees F (37c) in San Diego for the next two days and then around 90 F (32c) through next Friday. I don’t have air conditioning! I live near the coast. It’s October! It’s supposed to be mild! I’m afraid I’ll have to stay glued in front of the fan covered in wet towels, and I’ll still be dying! The Edge of Horizon is great but serious, so hard to binge for me anyway. But it’s soooo worth it, I think. Just maybe alternate it with something lighter?

Ash: final today! I overall, loved this drama even though it's low budget and kind of cringe. The chemistry between Leon and Kingston is just 🔥 and the elements of toxic at the beginning of the relationship and drama were needed after all the sweet school dramas I've been watching.
Making it Right 2026: omg I want to erase this drama from my memories. If there is a hell, this is one of the dramas they have to play to torture people with.
Rule 101: I dropped this after watching the first episode. Mainly because its a watch ads or pay drama for the moment. And the quality wasn't worth the extra expense or time. I will wait until it becomes available on a streaming platform. If anyone else suffered through Sin and Love, this drama is the same cast which help my decision.
I plan to watch Ash. I can handle cringe from low-budget, just not always from humor. I need a crime drama for the BL challenge so I chose this.

It really has been a surprise hit for me. I do prefer detective and supernatural/fantasy stuff in general so it had all the ingredients for something worthwhile. The director was talking about quitting if this didn't succeed so I'm happy it is doing well. We need more variety in bl stories.
