Me too, I'm sure that the Thai version will be good in contrary to Thai remake of Addicted - cast of this future series is awful.

Re "Cherry Magic" (Thai remake): My standards for remakes that are just remakes are very tough. I hope it brings something new.

Re "Heroin" (forthcoming Thai remake of "Addicted"): This is a Thai series. The actors are cute. Isn't that (plus lots of fan service) supposed to be enough? (I am being ironic here!)

I'm actually really worried because it seems like it would be exactly like "Hit, Bit, Love"...

I've never heard of "Hit Bite Love" until now, but it takes a certain amount of effort to get an MDL rating this bad. Now you've made me curious ...

World of BL have a list of most of the BLs out there from every country, including Vietnam, Laos, etc. You may wish to check it out if you're interested in watching from the back catalogues.

I'm wondering why they're bothering, since "Stay with Me" (China, 2023) is a nicer (cleaner) version of the same story.

Yes, World of BL is a fantastic resource. Somebody puts a lot of work into this! (I have donated several times via Kofi and encourage others to do the same.)

Another BL website I check very regularly is BL Watcher. The thoughtful and detailed reviews not only help me decide what to watch next but also help me reflect on what I've already watched. As with any reviews, I don't always agree with the final ratings - but I really appreciate the serious effort.

Yeah, I'm doing exactly the same way of BL research on both sources mentioned by you, plus on FB Carter Alphaeus is always very well informed, I was surprised many times when he came with some news way ahead before official announcement.

I've heard about Thai adaptation plans before Stay with me aired and I was waiting for this version pretty heavy. With better and more mature  actors it could be brilliant production. We will be not robbed from all the drama and loving ending like in both Chinese version. We know already that the ending of the second season of Stay with me will be open and we will not be granted with wedding and all this love from the novel. Personally I would like to see Neo or Earth Chitsanupong as Gu Hai and Mark Pakin or Book Nuttawatt as Su Yu.

I agree with Neo and Mark. I'd love to see them in this series. I think they would do an amazing job.

I couldn't agree with you more!

eheheh, it's not a bad series, the story itself might've been interesting, but the acting and the story development are really strange. I also blame the fact that subtitles were horrendous, it was really difficult to understand some of the dialogues (even though I'm now acquainted with Thai, so I can understand "some" of it) and the sexual innuendos were a bit too much. I cannot pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but If you look on Youtube (the whole series is posted there) you can get an idea. xD Let me know what you think (if you want to and whenever you want to, of course ;D)

(re "Hit Bite Love") So, my curiosity got the better of me. I watched the first episode - and you're right, I wouldn't say it's "bad". Well, the combination of murder mystery, comedy, classroom crushes and sex scenes in the school showers does seem rather a mess - but it's strangely bad and good at the same time. BL Watcher gives it a "C" rating, which isn't so bad.

I suspect the very low MDL ratings have more to do with moral disapproval by some of such explicit teen sexuality (as if teen boys aren't all in hormonal overdrive, pffft). Holy cow, this is definitely the steamiest school BL I've seen ... although the ironically titled "Sweet Boy" (2016 starring a very young Chimon) comes close.

I am watching onwards!

I think the low ratings might also have to do with the ending, but I don't want to spoil anything xD or also because many scenes were cut and put into a "VIP" subscription channel on Youtube, meaning you have to pay to watch (which is fair, even though I would rather spend on other series than this one honestly xD).

For me it was not the BDSM or the sexual overdrive, but more like I couldn't really understand some bits and pieces.

I would also like to join the BL club, I'm a newbie to BL, I started watching in 2022. I was introducing to this genre by my friend, as a bisexual woman I love to see queer show that explore different topics and experiences.

welcome! <3

lol I was gone for a day and there were many new discussions
