Is this meant to be a teaser for some kind of forthcoming BL starring Higuchi and Maeda? That would be amazing. I loved them respectively in "Personal Weatherman" and "I Can't Reach You" - and Maeda also in his supporting role in "Beautiful Man: Eternal".
I have yet to watch Middleman's Love, for obvious reasons. However I just saw a most interesting clip from it and I am more than motivated to watch now to say the least because I now need context for that clip.
The first two episodes are indeed awful, especially Yim's cringe-clown character, but the series gets better with subsequent episodes, especially the last two. Gus and Tong in Episode 7 were fantastic (be still my beating heart!), and Tutor/Yim in the final episode were also very satifying (pitter patter goes my heart!).
I watched the supposedly "uncut" version on iQiyi, but the lengths of Episodes 7 and 8 on Viki are exactly the same, so at least on Viki, nothing seems to be cut.
