I was told the second season was better...

The average MDL rating for "Minato 2" is almost the same as "Minato", and in many ways, it is more of the same. So if you like the first season, you'll like the second season. Although there are some weaknesses in the second season, especially a lack of progression in Minato's character, there are also some things I really like - in terms of Minato and Shin's circumstances but also how Asuka's character is developed. (I hope that's vague enough to not be a spoiler!)

I watched Dear ex and just like Your name engraved herein I got emotional, but there was just one thing in each stopping me from giving either a 10.... With Your name engraved herein it was the jarring editing and with Dear ex it was the thought that a series would have been a better way to flesh things out.

Yes! like who'd prefer the step-brothers over Mu Ren and Li Cheng?

I see many persons did not like the step-brothers whereas I was not that concerned about them. I definitely liked Mu Ren and Li Cheng more but that was because their story was lovely to watch not because of the two tropes compared to each other. I was just glad there was no blood relation; now what had me side eyeing them was the whole rape incident; however when the victim did not react as how a victim would and the writers proceeded as if that part was just non-existent I was like then who am I to acknowledge it, so truthfully I started acknowledging their story a few episodes after the incident as if their story had just been introduced; for my own peace of mind. Reminds me of love syndrome now that I think about it but then again that is a whole calamity by itself lawd of mercy smh

I have never heard of Dear Ex; I had to go look it up just now as well as add it to my plan to watch list. Thanks for the indirect rec.

Fresh drops:

P.S A Secretly Love starts today and To Be Continued starts Monday

 Jojo:
@ America Fan I’m glad I’m not the only one who found Minato’s Laundry rather meh. Most people I spoke to seem to like it. It’s nice to know that there’s someone out there who has similar thoughts to me.

For your thoughts on Last Twilight:

I enjoyed the first season of Minato's Laundry enough to add it to my fav BL list. I didn't mean to come across as being down on the show, but rather S2 wasn't to my expectations and rated it lower than S1. But yeah, S2 was more "meh" for me. haha

Thanks for sharing your comments regarding Last Twilight.  Yes it could have gone a different direction and would have been as good too! I'm going to add this series to my BL Favorites list.  :-)

 OnyxTheHedgehog:

Reslly? I'm still on the first season and really enjoying it but I was told the second season was better...

Re: Minato's Laundry.  I hope you find it as good or better than S1! I sure don't mean to rain on anyone's parade or dash any expectations. Naturally we all see the same thing in different ways, and that's good! I'd love to know how you liked S2 when you're done.

I would have liked Dear Ex as a series as well. It was still a great watch for sure, but I wanted more of the story and background.  Well, I went to the Your Name Engraved Herein page and I could have sworn I saw the movie, but it's on my PTW list instead. Maybe that's my next watch!

To Be Continued and A Secretly Love looks like it could be a good one!

Are we back to our staple BL engineers and doctors haha. I did not know about these aising so soon but they look light and fun.

No problem, hope you like it ^^

This is to @American Fan since I can't quote small sections.

There was honestly so much to it that we missed because it was packed into a 1hr 39min movie when we could have got way more even from a short series.

Aside from the imo awkward editing Your name engraved herein is really good, hope you enjoy~

My problem with them was, of course the rape, but also the fact the lil brother filmed it and went on to show it to their father! he outed him! and even when the big brother asked him not to say anything to their father (maybe about something else, like them still dating. I don't remember), he still did it. This lil brother was a horrible person imo. He was also really mean to other people (I'd say he's a sociopath). This is why I didn't like them. The step-brothers as it is was not the issue.

I totally forgot he filmed it. I think at some point my mind started to select what to remember. That couple was the sole hold out for me why that series did not get a 10. The sociopath theory makes sense because he was very possessive and obsessive from the beginning which now makes me wonder was the step brother really in love with him or was he just appeasing the demon.

It was one of those rare cases in which when they became a couple I went all "NOOOO!". I would have given this series a higher rating as well if it wasn't for them, or to be exact this lil step brother as I did like the older one. Yes, didn't he attack Mu Ren or Li Cheng too? (in the beginning) and he was so unfriendly to other students in his uni. And he wrote a diary about his older step brother too, no? like some creepy stalker.

Oh yes, I’m def enjoying season 2! I finished season 1 today and immediately started season 2 cause I couldn’t wait and I’m on ep 6 now and loving it :)

Hold up I just was on my watchlist to make adjustments and I scrolled past the series and stopped to see what rating I ultimately gave it and wtf I gave it a 10. I must have been drinking mad puss piss because I could have sworn it was between 8 and 9.5. This is like me discovering I gave Bad Romance 10 all over again. I feel like because I was watching these series late at night my mind was not fully there when I was rating them.

P.S Yes he did threaten Li cheng and Mu Ren because did not like how close they were to his step brother. Now if you will excuse me I have a series to go and re-rate as well as an entire list to go and double check can't be lapsing like this the perfectionist in me won't stand for it (insert angry emoji)

(re "Minato") I'm so glad you like it. It's nice when people share their enthusiasm!
