How are we rating Playboyy the series? I just finished episode 14 and I'm not sure how I feel about that ending.
I tentatively gave it 7.5. I give very generous ratings, so for me this is on the low side. Although I eagerly watched each week's episode, and although there were things I liked, "Playboyy" was seriously flawed - so it was rather like the fascination of watching a train wreck. One glaring flaw that especially irritated me: All the pointless (and badly pronounced) English lines thrown in throughout the series. What was the point of that?

Since you enjoy CDramas, in general, you may want to try one of my absolute favorite BLs. It was daunting to start a drama with 50 episodes, but once it was getting close to the end, I really didn't want it to end. And it did take 3-5 episodes for me to get into it - only because the start is funky. It starts 16 years after Wei WuXian's death and there's a retelling of the past then we get to the present.
- The Untamed (China, 2019) Great acting, wonderful cinematography, political intrigue, chemistry between the MLs is fantastic. I love Xianxia-danmei BL drama. It uses queer-coding at its best, bypassing Chinese censorship. While we don't see depictions of an actual queer relationship, there were plenty of examples of the MLs' growing closeness.
- They call each other their soulmates.
- Lan Zhan allows Wei Ying to touch his headband, a privilege reserved for parents or spouses.
- Physical touching: holding each back, carrying each other, etc.
- Flirty eyes from WY and longing gazes from LZ.
- Drunk LZ gifted WY two chickens (Chinese betrothal gift).
- Bowing together in front of memorial tablets.
- Bowing together in front of Lan ancestor.
- Bunnies saved by WY, shown kissing. Bunnies on lantern when they made their wishes/vows. Tu Shen (Chinese: 兔神; pinyin: Tùshén, The Rabbit God), is a Chinese deity of love and sex between men.
- When Ah-Yuan first meets LZ, WY jokes he gave birth to Ah-Yuan. Later, LZ becomes Ah-Yuan's adoptive father.

Looking at your "Completed" list, I see you've already watched a lot of good ones. Some KBLs not on your list which I personally loved are "Love For Love's Sake" (very recently released on Gaga), "The Eighth Sense" (Viki), "Our Dating Sim" (Viki, also available in more convenient movie version), "Love Mate" (Viki & Gaga, also available in more convenient movie version), "A Shoulder To Cry On" (Viki & Gaga), and "Choco Milk Shake" (Youtube Strongberry channel). I could go on, but that should keep you busy for a while.

If you want serious trauma porn (hyper violent brutal BDSM), you might want to try "Playboy and the Gang of Cherry". It's confusing and weird, but by standards of a porno (which it almost is), it's actually pretty good, especially acting quality, despite the astonishingly low MDL rating. Not for the faint-hearted!!!
It's ironic that I adore sweet stories of innocent first love that might end with nothing more than a kiss on the cheek - and yet I watch this kind of stuff, too. People can be so contradictory.

The title reminded me that I haven't gotten around to watching the last 3 eps of Playboyy, so.... thanks for that I guess..? Otherwise I'll put that on my list for when I run out of movies to watch.

This was my exact thoughts the first time I watched it. The ending though always has me going back to re-watch certain scenes with the ending scenes and I kind of get the deeper meaning now but I still find the trauma parts hard to digest which I don't know if it was intentional by the makers to distract or provoke thought. This is one of those movies that require background research to get the true meaning but frankly I don't need no added scaring from this movie.
