No, I don't think so. From my watching experience, all the HIStory stories are independent from each other. A few more knowledgable BL watchers can share more. You should be good to go!

Old Fashion Cupcake is super cute, but I want to recomend Taikan Yoho. I think this one is polarizing because I’ve seen people absolutely hate it, but I found it really clever. I still haven’t figured out how the writers did it, but they managed to turn something that should be super frustrating into something super entertaining. I also want to add that both ML are gorgeous and have good chemistry. IDK if you’ll hate it or like it but maybe give it a try :)

I really liked all three - but they're very different from each other. All three are very well conceived, constructed and executed, with Japanese creativity and originality along with good acting.
"Old Fashion Cupcake" is an uplifting office BL with two engaging protagonists. That being said, I didn't love it quite as much as most, maybe because I'm not so into corporate types in suits - or maybe because of Nozue's smoking (ick!). There's also a three-minute "Old Fashion Cupcake Epilogue: Apple Pie" (I watched it on Bilibili.tv because I didn't know where to find it), but to be honest, it doesn't add much.
Like many others in this group, I really loved "My Personal Weatherman" with its unique sexual electricity. One might even call this a sort of master-slave relationship - although that might make this series sound lurid, which it is not. It's about the psychology - often unspoken - between the protagonists and about the complicated love between them. It's very much a love story, even if it may seem toxic at first. (@American Fan, maybe this is why you dropped it? We usually have fairly similar tastes and likes, so if you watched it to the end, you might have a different opinion?)
I originally decided to watch "Captivated by You" because of my beloved and most adorable Onishi Ryusei (of Naniwa Danshi). It's not at all a BL (at most a bromance between two of the characters), but I really liked it. It's a bit weird/quirky, but in a sweet way. Very well edited, especially the way it reveals through different views of the same scene. It's also short, so not much of a time investment.

RE: My Personal Weatherman - Bingo! I wasn't able to get past the first 2 EP cuz of what felt very toxic and slave-like. Another drama that gave me depression-like feelings. Does it get less slow & dreary? Does the master/slave dynamic change?

RE: History 3 Trapped - Yeah, I wanted to cry for Tang Yi. He already lost his adopted and birth mother, so that's why I thought he at least would have his birth father going forward. And I was thinking that the birth father could have a happier life in the future knowing he has a son to build a relationship with and a connection to his dead girlfriend. Oh well, I'll shake it off as soon as I start the next drama.
So TutorYim are getting a new drama and I hope it’s better than Middleman’s Love, because I really do like them. Mark said that this show is not a Domundi production, so that gives me hope lol
On another note, it seems like MarkGem will be DMD’s new pair, which I think makes this the largest age gap pairing they have (12 years?). I wonder how that will work out on screen… on the bright side I’m glad Mark is getting a more prominent role in something after all those side characters. Gems too! I actually grew fond of him because of DMD Friendship the Reality (anyone else watch that?), and was a little worried that he couldn’t seem to find his footing in that.

Never heard of Hydroindus, but it seems Domundi rents out their actors to production companies like Mandee, so maybe this is a similar arrangement.
Is "DMD Friendship the Reality" worth watching? Before this, I hadn't even heard of it. The blurb says: "The prize is the opportunity to perform as the lead couple in a new Domundi Y series." I assume that's not this series, right?

It was actually entertaining and did a good job of making me interested in DMD’s 3rd generation. Before that I didn’t care about them at all lol Yeah, the pairs that won are supposed to get their own show. Gems did not pair up with anybody at the end of the show.

I just watched the first episode of Deep Night the series, and......I LOVED IT. I didn't expect to love it but the chemistry between the leads is sizzling; that tension going on between them chefs kiss. I can already tell it will be fast paced in terms of romantic development which I love because it will create room for them to face conflicts as a couple and have a lot of couple scenes so we will get to see them live life as a couple instead of being deprived of that until the last few episodes like most other series. There are some things that have me raising my eyebrows but those can be overlooked and this is the first episode and I think it was pretty stellar in how it established the plot and characters solidly; I was not confused at any point and any slight confusion was quickly cleared up as I watched on. Looking forward to the next episode.
