Guys, i need opinions on Dangerous Queen. The special eps looked so dark and luxurious that it made me want to watch the series. Is it normal bad or bad bad. Do hotness points cancel them out enough to make it worth investing 8 hours?

Below is what I wrote at the time. Re-reading it now, it seems like I was an bit annoyed at the show when I wrote this comment. I also haven't watched the special episode.

The drama had potential, but sadly didn't get anywhere even close to fulfilling it.
The most obvious issue is the poor production. The sound was terrible and the sound effects/music were ridiculous. Just so very, very amateur. The acting from the leads and some of the support cast was OK (not brilliant, just OK), but some of the acting from the support cast was genuinely terrible. Fight choreography was also very amateur and the editing also wasn't great. In terms of production, this is the second worse Thai GL this year, with only "B-Friend" being worse.
I understand that small studios are trying to produce dramas with very limited budgets, and I genuinely respect them for that. I will happily sit through a GL drama with poor production if the story is enjoyable, which brings me to my biggest whinge about this drama.
WTF did they do with the character of Queen!!! Compared to the character in the original novel, this version of Queen was a piece of shit.
I've got no problem with cold, even arrogant characters, but in this drama, Queen was a selfish, entitled, sociopathic, manipulative bully who (mis)treated Babe like a piece of property. She was controlling and abusive (both physically and psychologically). Sure she spent money to sometimes help out Babe, but there wasn't even the slightest hint of respect or affection from her. She just wanted to protect her "property". The first time they had sex was when Babe had been drugged (which Queen knew), so that was basically sexual assault.
And then we have Babe suddenly (and for no obvious reason) decide that she loves her controlling abuser in a textbook example of Stockholm Syndrome. It was weird and uncomfortable to watch. The last episode attempted to humanise Queen somewhat, but it was FAR TOO LITTLE, FAR TOO LATE. My advice is skip this drama because its pretty bad.

Anyone watching Chasing Love? I just finished the latest episode and so far it's seeming pretty average. I'm kind of going in and out of focus on this one. The second couple really draws me in though. ❤️Ploy❤️ is sooo my type, so biased opinion.

Still, it's not Shades 😟 which I miss dearly. Still waiting for the second half 😭

I've kept chasing love for later because it's definitely one of those slowish shows that end up in the drop pile if I try to watch on air. Recently GR and now EWB are the only shows I've been watching as the eps release. And of course Love Beyond dreams which I positively INHALE the moment it's out

Fulfill: I am fully disappointed by this drama. I was so excited go in after reading the synopsis because I has assumed the drama was a focus on life after marriage and with an unexpected child between a lesbian couple.

When it comes to the Ch3 GL series, having expectations is not an option. We've seen how the previous 3 series (Only You, MSZ, and Play Park) suffer the same issue, so you can just guess how the 4th one would turn out, especially with Nay Saratswadee (the same director of Only You) at the helm of Fulfill.

You can also see how Play Park should be highlighting the life of a sapphic single mother, but the idea got sidelined and the focus changed to the family business and Ing's ex.

In my personal opinion, none of the Ch3 GL series really stood out, including TSOU. And Ch3 is very good at selling their "koojins" so despite weak story/script, people still watch their GLs because of the couples.

Thank you for this. I liked the contrasting colours making it easier to read. I'm able to find shows based on countries and able to see actresses beautiful photos. This will make finding dramas easier. It's great for the GL Watch Challenge.

However, are you able to separate dramas based on genres. Country and genre is the 2 things I look at when it comes to finding and watching dramas. If it's not possible or will take a while to add that is fine

This is cool. Can't imagine how long this took. I think the only critic I have is I think the home pages currently airing background is a little to transparent that it makes it a little too uncomfortable for my eyes to ready it easily. 😅 Kind of giving away my poor eye sight here.

I also love how you have a common tropes search! Can't wait to use that when it's done. Would love to see Toxic Relationship, Love Triangle, Second Chance, Friends-to-Lovers.

thanks for the feedback! yeah it's been quite the work in progress, taken me months to get it to the point where i'm actually happy about it lol.

i can totally darken it a bit and i will add the 4 new genres to the list. i've been fiddling with the new genre page this morning and i have the base of it working atm i just need to get the shows tagged and the search part working lol.

how's this as a first draft? https://tellasgllist.neocities.org/Genres# not every show has a genre tag yet but alot do. when you click a genre a list will come up with shows that are tagged that genre.

It's looking really good. My one suggestion is to design it now so it is future proof, so when it has hundreds or even thousands of titles, it still looks good and is functional.
