That was an intense watch.

This is one of the few times I liked the side characters as much as the main characters. Porsche actually followed the rules and actually did his job as a guard properly.Maybe he will get to meet his younger half-brother. I did feel like he caught feelings for DeeDee.

DeeDee showed she was just as insecure as everyone else and felt she had few people in her corner. I truly did love her friendship with Porsche.

Kae was truly a villain, the type that says that "If I can't have you, no one can." She was truly lonely and had no one to talk to, so when Bell stopped interacting with her, she was vulnerable and craved power to prevent the feelings only for them to get worse. The power did get to head head, though, and really did make her corrupt. I feel like she didn't fall in love with Bell, though, and latched on to the only person who gave her attention.

Daon is one of the most complicated people in the drama. She and Wichan I do believe that they were using each other for power in different ways. Wichan was using her sex release and a stress releaser, and she used him to be in charge of all the inmates so no one messed with her or her siblings. I have no knowledge of this, but wouldn't her son be placed with family while she was an inmate, and if they never took him in, he would've been placed in foster care until her release.

Bell the one where she was innocent and at first thought her boyfriend was caring at the fact he wanted her to get out of prison only for him to feel guilty as it was his drugs and his friend was only trying to protect him. I'm glad he got what was coming for him.

Claire, the one who wanted to protect her sister, even if it meant taking the fall for her and giving up her freedom. She built the persona 'rabid dog' and built her walls so no one would see her vulnerable leaving her alone.

Clairebell showed me that it is indeed possible for Thai GLs to produce genuinely "Netflix quality" dramas. The cinematography, production and acting were all excellent, a level above almost every other Thai GL.

I am curious about the quality of Thai GLs verses Thai BLs, as I don't watch BLs. If there are people who watch both, I'd like to know what is the quality of the average BL drama like? What proportion of Thai BLs are as good as, or even better than Clairebell in terms of production and acting?

I am curious about the quality of Thai GLs verses Thai BLs, as I don't watch BLs. If there are people who watch both, I'd like to know what is the quality of the average BL drama like? What proportion of Thai BLs are as good as, or even better than Clairebell in terms of production and acting?

I would say that the proportion of good bls is the same as good gls, in their respective genres i mean. The notable difference I feel is that the subpar thai bls are loaded with nc whereas subpar gls are on the cutesy side. I don't watch much of either, that is the dramas which lack a plot and rely on the cute/sexy

Now the thing is, with bls being produced as much as they are, the percentage of great and good translates into enough to keep an active watcher occupied but for gls that is not the case. Then again for me it is enough because I don't watch a lot of dramas, it's just the right amount. Good and bad and subpar is absolutely relative but I really just mean in terms of production values and dramas that had a workable script and actors to deliver it

To judge whether a drama was as good as clairebell one would actually have to watch it and I'm afraid i don't watch bl much at the moment. I've tried to watch some of the psychological/thriller/crime bls that were popular recently and ended up dropping them but this is definitely bias on my part because I would watch them if they were gls. Few dramas are as good as Clairebell, real work went into it.

I won't even say Netflix level, because to me that is not just the Netflix quality but the kind of colour grading they maintain for all their shows 🤦‍♀️ clairebell was just the right amount of everything.

I've just watched the first episode of Season 2 of the Taiwanese Lesbian Dating Show "Girl's Love House" (AKA "Girls' Dorm"]. There is no MDL page for this show because MDL rules are dumb. Anyway, the first episode was excellent - a significant improvement from Season 1 in my opinion. Whether this quality improvement is maintained throughout the entire series is yet to be seen, but after this first episode, I'm optimistic.

They've really chosen the contestants well for this season. They all seem like genuinely nice people. And in addition to being nice, I'm seeing funny, articulate, polite and considerate people. There is one girl who seems quite young and is extremely shy, so there were some awkward scenes with her. I'm hoping she gets more comfortable and confident as the season progresses. I'm also seeing some sparks between contestants in the very first episode. I have a good feeling that some couples will come out of this season, but time will tell.

Just be advised that the episodes are long, but when the show is entertaining, this is a good thing.

@Arty it was the enormous success of GAP the series, the first full length gl. Viewcounts on it were insane. Gap was made by Idolfactory, a BL company. A lot of infrastructure was already there for BL as a genre in Thailand. There's a lot of dedicated BL companies there. The market was oversaturated. Other BL companies wanted similar results, a similar fresh break, to stand out from the rest of the genre, and GL was an obviously fresh choice that had now been proven to have a potential audience maybe even larger than the BL audience, and they thought 'well all we have to do is swap out our actors for actresses and off we go!' Tadaa, GL explosion.

So who pulled the trigger? Saint Suppapong. (That's his name, I'm not calling him a saint)

I said I would watch this with you, but we’re clearly on vastly different schedules or living in widely different time zones, because you had already watched and posted comments when I checked MDL this morning. I waited until after dinner my time to watch this.

I watched it around 5pm (London Time Zone as I'm in the UK so you are ahead of me a couple of hours as you're in the US) on Wednesday the day it got released. Does it not get released at the same time for everyone. Obviously in different countries, it would be different times.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but hopefully the following information will tell you what you want to know.

All the contestants are new and the location is different from season 1. The hosts are the same, but we almost never see them, but we do hear their voices asking questions off camera from time to time. One popular contestant (Ming Ming) from season 1 is now employed by the show to host the "offline" fan event which allows paying fans to experience the show for themselves in a shortened and not filmed version of it. Ming Ming does an advertisement each episode to promote this fan event.

If you have any specific questions, please ask and I'll do my best to answer. I've now watched two episodes and the dramatic improvement in quality from season 1 is being maintained. This is a much better produced show than was season 1, not that season 1 was terrible or anything. I'm really enjoying season 2 a lot.
