Vertical Short Drama

I am with you both. The longer short dramas are too much for me.  I find myself FF through and then I wonder what was missed - but really, much could have been trimmed down. 

I find I very much enjoy the dramas with great relationship development (and I admit heavy on the romance :)  But also, every once in a while, I also enjoy a totally ridiculous short with over-the-top drama. 

I keep getting some ridiculous over the top drama clips in my feeds - they are such train wrecks you can't look away - just watched one where the female lead and the white moonlight were kidnapped and the white moonlight raped (she really wasn't as she an the kidnapper were in on the kidnapping together). White moonlight and FL are both pregnant so ML tells everyone that the while moonlight's child is his and that his child with the FL is not his but the kidnappers. So FL divorces the ML, has an abortion and at a party gives him the divorce papers and his aborted child in a specimen jar. ML says he only loved the FL but the white moonlight's grandfather saved his grandfather and so he had to support her as she is to weak to face criticisms for having a child with the kidnapper. You can't get any crazier than this (although I'm sure I'm wrong and some crazier ones exist). Really, who comes up with these plots (which lack any logic) and why did I spend any time watching this train wreck???

I actually prefer to watch rom/coms, but sometimes I am in the mood for a nice angsty drama if it's done well.

I also used to watch random drama that's made me mad. Something like ML already abandoned FL because he thought she had sugar daddy a few years earlier (while on college) then he met FL again due to FL cover for her friend to sign a collaboration paperwork or something, then he went to bully and rape her, and didn't believe her pregnancy has something to do with him because of the false medical report brought by SFL then she miscarried, but FL, who's actually a heiress and that 'sugar daddy' was in fact her super rich dad, saying "It's okay, there's no need to avenge me, I just want to have no further relation with him." What, was I being taught to let people bully me? Or that meeting a bad guy was inevitable, so when you met one, just flee? Because an eye for an eye will make the whole world blind? Now when I see weak FL, I automatically close the drama.

My preference is Tinghua Dao/ Heard Island's drama. Their dramas are generally safe. And on reelxia there's people giving out rating. Drama with rating over 4.5 with more than 5 people rated it is generally safe. On youtube, I read the comments. On iQIYI, I generally watch top or trending/ something from reelxia that's available on iQIYI. For other sites, I rarely watch random drama. But everything trending and have many viewers on Hongguo is a sure wonder. As long as the poster looks fun. Today I ptw https://reelxia.com/drama/Zn with 4.7 rating.

A sweet one with some angst.

ML proposed to FL 5 years ago in hospital gown and being rejected and FL harshly berated him as a poor sick man because of FL's secret promise to ML's grandfather in exchange of money for the orphanage's keeper (she's sick and needed an operation) and the orphanage's survival. Now, 5 years has passed and they meet again. This time ML wants FL to become his lover because he already plans to marry SFL on a political marriage to support each others' business. While FL still remember her promise and keep avoiding ML, being happy inside looking how healthy and successful ML is. Then the push and pull relationship begins.

Quotting ML; "Falling is to get back up again. Don't deny your past self and don't be afraid of the future."

Prefer bunny over puppy, but Cai Xin Yang is kinda cute~

This was good. These last two dramas with Chen Si - such a different acting style for him. (the one above and "It's a Divorced Relationship")

I'm reading this gossip news:

The Red Fruit TV viewing list has been completely reshuffled! A bunch of hit dramas are releasing their second seasons – which one are you most looking forward to? - iMedia 

Wow, Zhang Chi is going to be the new grandson. I also just find out that rapper who appeared on S4 was Ye Wen. Eh, I can't seem to see that rapper and ML in The Lady from Northeast as the same person.

I  should watch Yi Pin Bu Yi and Wang Xiao Yi's family drama first. Been on my mind for a while.

And this one is pretty good:

Liu Run Ming x Zeng Xue Yao. Another sweet drama. Always love rebirth-revenge-redemption drama. 

The story is quite typical. It started with FL slit her own throat after her whole family and ML died, then she reborn to the time before he falls for SML's honey trap. Trying to avenge and protect her family, she collaborating with ML -who she realizes is really good and truly love her- to bring down SML from his crown prince seat. She also trying hard to convince ML that she loves him wholeheartedly (because previously she and SML are childhood sweethearts).

"The past has vanished. The present must be cherished. I only ask to grow old together in one heart | I only ask that she be worry-free for a lifetime."
