Is there a way I can  hide my completed  list?  It's getting kind of embarrassing to show around the hours I have put into asian dramas--and growing!  i 🫣

Make a new account ;P

Make a new account ;P

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking of doing that so I guess that's the only way.

I'm still in my first year here so mine isn't bad (plus I'm a slow watcher) but sometimes I see others' watch lists that are so. much. scrolling. Parts of the site don't scale and can become hard to navigate far too soon, like custom lists.

Don't know what I'll do in a few years. I can see myself managing two accounts, or maybe an offline spreadsheet instead. One as an overall record/memory aid, only used when I finish something, and another as an active account.

Good luck figuring out your solution :)

I found MDL just few months ago.  I used to have a database for my dramas but now I'm adding them in here little by little.  I find MDL more convenient than a database since in here they are linked to the actors,  reviews, recommendations, sequels and so on.

I guess  I'll just have to let it be for now and hopefully MDL adds a hidden feature in the future.  I may add a second account and think what to do with it in the future.

Thank you again, nice to talk to you!

Hey, came across this! What did you end up doing? I'm trying to find a way to private my kdrama watched list and going to watch list

Unfortunately  there's no options to hide any of the lists in here-completed, currently watching, dropped, on hold or plan to watch.

Somebody suggested me to create a second account just to have it as a database, but I'd have to transfer them one by one and I don't have time for that at the moment. Maybe you can try that option.

Oooh okay! Thank you for letting me know <3 I can't make a new account because I thought this would be my lowkey account. You cant make a mydramalist account fully private like instagram or twitter. Maybe one day ahahaah

That wasn't quite what I had in mind. I was thinking more like start a new account to use more actively, and then, I don't know, whatever makes sense for the older one. Though maybe I misunderstood and you want to keep using this account as your main for social reasons.

A year and a half on my PTW is a black hole of good intentions I've mostly given up on using and titles just pile up on the Completed. I keep a spreadsheet with the info I'm interested in. I've found ways to use custom lists instead which are more manageable, though my main diary one does get unwieldy as the year progresses but it's a good place to collect some thoughts on each and I like having them to look back on.

You can make custom lists private, so that might be an option for a private PTW.

Or a secret account you aren't social on and don't tell anyone about? There aren't any great options, just work arounds.

Thank you<3 I just looked on your profile and yeah none of your kdramas come up except on the custom list. I might give that a go writing kdramas on custom list, Im just a little lazy to transfer all the notes and kdrama names to custom list ahaha. This is actually my secret account none of my irl now about it. but i also wanted to make friends i could speak about kdramas but i just add people then we never speak so its still pretty private.

My profile is definitely not the place to go looking for kdrama :D :D :D

There are kdramas in my Completed and Planned to Watch lists. Were you looking for them in the List Updates on the bottom right of my Profile page?

Yeah, transferring a lot is a pain, but it does go reasonably quickly. I moved about 60 titles from my PTW to a private list a wee while back, mostly because it was the only way to get them off the PTW and keep the notes from whoever was enthusing about them. Did it in two passes, will go back for more later.

edit: omg that typo :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh no! I was just taking a look at your profile to see how the customs lists are set up but i saw your normal mdl lists empty.

Honestly same thats why I wanted to private my drama lists because i dont always watch the best kdramas and i dont want people to try find recommendations when sometimes i just watch it for my stupid little entertainment.

When I get time i will deffo move things around! Thank you <3

Woah. That's quite a glitch. No wonder I was confused :D  I don't think my normal lists are so out of control as to break the system ;)

I'll DM you to point out some things about how I'm using custom lists.

Come on!!! I am so proud of the hours I have dedicated to watch K-dramas. I did even a party to celebrate when I got the 500th!

It is the time you dedicate to things the one that make them yours.

Throwing a kdrama party sounds so fun. You threw a MDL party online?
