I am finding that my attention span is a bit short lately due to stress so I would love to find some good short dramas that I can complete in a few hours (6 hours or less).

Any MDL country is fine as long as the story is interesting even if it's a little crazy like some short cdramas can get. Probably no slice of life genre though.

I don't watch many BLs but here are a few that I liked/am enjoying:

The Time Of Fever

Secret Relationships

The Promise Of The Soul

Secret Lover

Not looking to start anything on-going. I want any drama that's already complete. I also have a list of short dramas if you would like recommendations or to get an idea of what I might like:

"Soundtrack #1" was lovely, sweet and short, if you haven't watched that one. It's a K-Drama

  • The Other Half of Me and You (romance, comedy) - Definitely wacky but also very funny
  • Dong Lan Xue (historical, action, romance) - Revenge antihero romance
  • Assassin Academy (historical, wuxia) - youth wuxia mystery
  • The Sealer (fantasy, action) - Very good sword fights and contemp fantasy
  • +1 Ready, Set, Love (romance, comedy) - Again wacky but funny
  • Secrets of the Shadow Sect (historical, wuxia, romance) - Wuxia romance, nuff said
  • A Familiar Stranger (historical, romance) - Romantic historical with some supernatural elements
  • Kingdom (historical, zombies) - Zombie apocalypse, I mean who hasn't heard about this one
  • Enigma (youth, horror) - Horror drama set in an all girls high school
  • Evol (supernatural, action) - Kinda surrealist youth superhero drama
  • Rise from the Ashes (historical, romance) - Revenge and romance
  • Yume de Mita Ano Ko no Tame ni (mystery, thriller) - A slightly slow-paced but compelling mystery
  • Family Matters (supernatural, family, action) - Dark comedy, slightly surrealist superhero-ish drama
  • Black Knight (sci-fi, action) - Dystopian sci-fi. Very atypical for dramaland
  • The Novelist (psychological, romance) -Darker than your average BL but very well-done. A bit slow so it might fall a bit into slice-of-life
  • xxxHolic (supernatural, fantasy, youth) - Surrealist supernatural drama
  • Stay Still (Youth, romance) - Very endearing and realistic romance (BL)
  • Dominion and Devotion (historical, political, romance) - Slightly above 6hrs but an interesting palace-themed short
  • +1 A Dream like the True Love (historical, romance) - Not like other cdramas. Very well crafted and genuine against-all-odds kinda romance

All of these ranged from not the best but entertaining to very good in my opinion ^-^ Hope you find something you like

An Ancient Love Song.

It's a time travel romantic story, but told backwards, sort of.  You do have to pay attention, so I'm not sure if it is something you want to watched when stressed.

Also second  Butterflied Lover and A Familiar Stranger.

I've seen it. And yup, it was pretty good!

Can't quote Arclei but thanks for the trouble of writing short  descriptions for these dramas. I didn't particularly like Enigma though it had potential. Which do you recommend I start with?

I've seen A Familiar Stranger and loved it! I'll check out An Ancient Love Song. Thank you!

I was also meant to post this thread in recommendations but chalk this upto to stress as well. 😂

I struggled so much to find this thread again but I had a feeling I needed to and well, here we are XD

I had the same experience with Enigma tbh but I know a lot of people loved it so I thought I'd recommend it anyway.

  • The Sealer is an overall very solid watch. Simple but still interesting plot and overall very good quality. It's also very short so low commitment.
  • Kingdom is also a safe start if you're alright with horror elements and some gore. It's a very high budget production and overall a really good experience.

Also as a side note, to quote long posts you can highlight a bit of text from the comment and then a "quote" popup will appear. If you click it, you can quote that section only ^^

Thank you again for taking the trouble to find it. I posted it in general by accident.

I can't use the hightlight quote option on mobile browser sadly. Only on desktop.

Thank you for the recommendations! 💜
