Quantcast

We all have some guilty pleasures when we choose a drama to watch, right?

I, sure, have a lot!

I'm a very visual viewer, so for me, a huge part of the draw is the visual appeal and charisma of the leads. I'll admit I'm quite particular about casting. I've actually found myself passing on highly-rated shows if I don't feel an immediate "spark" or connection with the cast. If the leads don't intrigue me enough, it's very hard to stay invested.

How about you?

I recognize the symptoms, the spark you mention. Show either has it or it doesn't. For every drama I watch, I leave dozen in first ten-fifteen minutes of first ep. My continue watching que is huge...

For romance -straight or BL- I have to like at least one of the leads' visual. Acting matters, but not that much. Facial expression matters, but I can make do without it. Chemistry is expected, but it's fine (well...) even without it. Plot is really important, I hope there's real story instead of only selling sweet nothings and skinships.

For non romance, I want everyone's acting to be good or at least average. Visual doesn't matter at all. Chemistry is super important, it won't do without it. Plot hole is fine, but the whole plot should be at the very least interesting.
