The Butterfly:

Congrats on the return of water!!!  I haven't tried the ginger and tomato trick with ramen.  Will have to give it a go in the future.  Maybe you'll have a delicious fish dinner when they return.

thanks!  the water isn't the best since its got a sulfur smell to it but its still 1000x better than whatever was going on before so when a hint of rotten egg smell is better you know its all kinds of messed up lol .  ...

i Wish i liked fish sadly thats all his .  idk why but its never been to my taste , he'll probably deep fry it which honestly might be the worst way hes had me try different types of fish .  there was this 1 particular time ~8 years back he went to a nearby lake in the winter and got some bass and yellow perch .  i didn't like either of them deep fried ( unsuprising since months before when we'd fist got together he had me try his tautog and black sea bass that way). the next day he pan fried both in butter instead and the bass was still gross to me but the yellow perch near the tail end was 'tolerable'  tho i still wouldn't oopt for it unless i had to .  ...  he got the impression i liked it since i took 2 bites n said of course i would like the lake's equivalent to a hotdog lol

personally tho i'm not much of a meat eater in general .  i like white meat chicken and 'sausage product' for the most part  with the rare exceptions depending on how things are flavored n hidden texture-wise

Lasagna (soupy form not pan) and ice cream sandwich dessert

a off brand blue box of mac n cheese with the extra seasoning packet from last nights shin ramyun tossed into the cooking water with some mexican blend shredded cheese tossed in for a min. after it was all mixed n ready .  paired with some leftover onion n peppers my fiance cooked the other night when we had sausage n peppers ,  the leftover sausage can be used in spaghetti in a day or 2 since hes fishing again today and tomorrow and all off schedule since hes been leaving around 3am when dinner is usually at 6am....

water finally works again ( new well)  so thankfully cooking is back on the menu instead of takeout.   that said it was just me this morning for dinner since my guy went deep sea fishing with his son so ....

today was 2 packets of shin ramyun in a microwave bowl with half the liquid n 1 season packet ,  added a squeeze of ginger paste ,  frozen corn ,  a handful of grape tomatoes , some soy and oyster sauce , with a few frozen pork n veggie dumplings added in partway into cooking and a couple slices of cheese on top.

its lazy but its good, i hate cooking just for me the ginger and tomato really gives it an added boost.  pre-minced garlic would've helped even more but i forgot to add it

One of the most frustrating things that could happen in the house is when you suddenly have no water. - I like Shin Ramyun, too because of its rich, savory, and spicy broth, along with its chewy and thick noodles. Sometimes, when I have this for my meal, I best enjoyed it by adding egg or meat, too. However, there are times when I find the spice level too high.

Shin noodles are the best. I usually buy a small platter of shabu shabu or hot pot platter thinly sliced beef or pork at the supermarket. I add the meat it in right at the end to barely cook it and pile on a whole lot of minced coriander and spring onions. I also like to squeeze in a bit of lemon or a few drops of yuzu juice.

No, but I am envious-I loooove fish and chips.

I love it, too - It's my comfort food.

For the holiday we had turkey burgers with caramelized onions and mushrooms and oven fries, a little ice cream, and watermelon.  On our third night of people setting off fireworks until 1:00 am.  They seem louder and more frequent this year.  Maybe we’re just getting older and crankier. 😂

I love your sandwich. I use Swiss or Mozzarella cheese to pair with bologna & mayonnaise. Yummy..... Also, I enjoy it on whole-grain bread for an added fiber boost and pair it with fresh veggies for a crunchy contrast with barbecue chips. Sometimes I top it with ketchup. It's just that I eat this in moderation because bologna is high in fats

today was some sorta bibigo sweet n spicy crunchy chicken  and  some kimchi and cheese fried rice  i seen in the store the other day.  it was ok i've made a better kimchi fried rice than the box but the chicken was decent and the leftover sauce from it really helped the mehh rice.  my guy had leftover steak  from yesterday where it was paired with sauteed summer squash n zucchini .   it was a rainy morning so it seemed pointless to cook just for me

I had a homemade mac and cheese with buttered chicken

today was just a big salad ,  iceberg , a jar of gardiniera ( pickled veggies) ,  the last of our jar of garlic marinated mushrooms that were recently discontinued ,  marinated artichoke hearts , and a sliced up tomato with a little italian dressing on top.   sadly the gardiniera had too much heat thanks to a potent ( for him) pepper in the jar, so he didn't get to finish his ,  my mother reaped the benifit of it to go with her dinner or whatever  tho so shes happy lol.

Lentils, paprika rice, sautéed collards, roasted carrots and onions.

Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

today is some frozen peppers and onions in a pan sauteed in a pan with some oil n leftover shredded chicken ,  some thin spaghetti all topped with a jar of pataks'  Jalfrezi curry sauce ...  not As good as fresh peppers n onions but still solid
