NOTES:
β’ The brackets and the text within should be removed from the template and replaced with the relevant information.
β’Β You are free to make it as lengthy as you want, but you must provide a short overview in the TL;DR section.
β’Β The TL;DR should be a couple of sentences long. The idea is for it to be brief.
Note: If your notes are short, you don't need to include a TL;DR.
β’Β You are free to format it however you like and include images or GIFs. Make use of the table feature (top right in the toolbar).
β’Β You are free to add more sections (e.g. country of origin, release year, actors, etc), but it's not necessary.
To format titles like in the example post, copy the cover link, click on the little picture icon on the editor table (second row, 4th on the left) and paste the link into the first box. Click insert. Then click on the image that appeared and a small toolbar will appear above it. Click on the second option (alignment) and select "float left". Then go to the third option (size) and set the width to 30%. Now paste the template as normal and it should look like the example post!
For formatting help, please refer to this post

Role Reversal Masterlist

TL;DR:Β Delightfully RR all throughout. FL is a very dominant, strong, badass, gentlewoman, and ML is such an elegant, soft-spoken, beautiful nurturing hubby. The leads LOVE being RR. Can't recommend enough!
A typical transmigrator FL that defies the clichΓ©s and lives out her martial artist gentlewoman dream! She's rowdy, bold, assertive, badass, and also physically strong. She ends up married to the top scholar ML, who's weak, soft-spoken, gentle, and elegant. She teases him a lot for being uptight, and he gets flustered about it. It's such a delight to see this thorough RR throughout the drama. If you want a FL that's physically strong, carries her man on multiple occasions, protects him from bad guys, does the grand romantic gestures, and gets jealous of anyone who comes close to him while he's the embodiment of an elegant motherly husband that looks at her with enamored eyes and loves her attention, then this is for you.
ML especially stood out to me because the combination of weak, soft-spoken, gentle, and elegant is such a rare combo for a ML to have! I almost wish FL looked more masculine so the couple could've been a perfect 10/10, but I'll take this as well.
It's also worth noting that though the drama is a comedy, the RR is not played for laughs often. It's actually quite tasteful (with the exception of ML being physically weak being comedic). Also, a rare instance where the leads are 100% comfortable in their role reversal and aren't humiliated or otherwise dissatisfied, even if a little. They're actually thriving.Β

Type: Vertical Series

Feminine ML, Masculine FL, Cool FL, Sassy ML, Badass FL, Kind and supportive FL, Protective FL, Coquettish ML | Princess FL x Consort ML, Royal FL x Commoner ML, Virago x Mollis, Protector FL x Protected ML ||| Matriarchy setting, male concubine supporting characters.
TL;DR:Β A drama that finally commits to thorough role reversal AND a thorough matriarchy! ML is like the wife and FL is like the husband and they have a dandy good time!
The best historical matriarchy drama I watched! ML marries the crown princess but is abandoned by her on their wedding night due to ongoing war. He spends the next 3 years hating her and dealing with prejudice from everyone. Upon returning, FL has to deal with her cute husband constantly trying to get her to divorce him while trying to earn back his affection.Β
It's such a thorough role reversal. Literally taking the catty upset wife and making it the husband, and taking the smitten gentleman husband and making it the wife. Absolutely loved it. I also loved how sassy and coquettish ML was and how patient and loving FL was. She really adored her hubby and successfully wooed him. Also, the steamy scenes between them were so good?!
The drama also flips all the other characters' gender roles since it takes place in a matriarchy, so there's a lot of coquettish concubine type men and evil women. Sadly, there weren't many good men other than ML, which I thought was a bit of a shame.
There were a handful of rather brief traditional moments in the drama (like ML being crazy strong fsr), but I can ignore those because it did pretty much everything else so thoroughly. Still a shame it didn't commit 100% π

Feminine SML, Bratty SML, Diva SML, Flamboyant SML, Aloof SFL, Chill SFL | Chill SFL x Flamboyant SML, Older SFL x Younger SML.Β
TL;DR:Β A beautiful fem x fem hetgnc romance that tackles gender roles, gender expression, and attraction in a touching and delicate way!
A feminine ML that doesn't just wear dresses and a wig, but rather fully encompasses femininity in a way I haven't seen before. He's a stylist who's gentle, sweet, cute, and a lil sassy. Then there's FL who seems kinda bland by comparison but is anything but. She's opinionated, strong, protective, and tremendously down-bad for ML. They're similar in the sense that they're both feminine, but they're still role reversal and it's amazing.
Then there's the secondary couple. Aloof manager woman x bratty feminine celebrity. He starts out pretty misogynistic so it's definitely a taming situation but he gets a lot of growth! She's older, colder, and more masculine than he is, but their dynamic is more trad than the leads, though definitely still atypical.

Title: Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang (2022)
Type: minidrama
Tags: Bodyguard-Master Relationship, Female Chases Male First, Noble Woman/Common Man, Superior/Subordinate Relationship
TL;DR:Β This is a shortform drama about a dominant princess and the spy who falls under her thrall. It's not very long and pretty low-budget, but the chemistry is really good and the plot is better than expected. Our female lead is a confident, intelligent domme and our male lead is in over his head lol. Their dynamic is definitely fun!
Title: You're My Pet (2003)
Type: drama
Tags: Clingy Male Lead, Older Woman/Younger Man, Smart Female Lead, Cold Female Lead
TL;DR: Our female lead is highly successful at work but seen as too cold and aggressive to get along with. She finds a pitiful young man sleeping outside and takes him home to care for him as her pet. What begins as under-negotiated petplay power exchange with 24/7 bratty submission and service slowly grows into something beyond the bounds of their platonic kink dynamic. Serious, psychological, yet sweet, this drama sticks with the plot of its source material until the final few episodes, so even manga fans may be in for a surprise should they give it a try.
Title: An Ancient Love Song (2023)
Type: minidrama
Tags: Empress Female Lead
TL;DR: A modern man is transported back in time to meet an oft-misunderstood "evil" empress whose legacy has been rewritten and forgotten in the eras since. Rather than a defeated tyrant, our female lead is stronger and kinder than expected, even as she harbors a terrible secret...
Title: Wing Chun (1994)
Type: movie
Tags: Martial Artist Female Lead, Gender Bender, Childhood Friends' Relationship
TL;DR: This might be a stretch, but I would argue that our female lead is stronger and more assertive than her sweet and foolish male lead
