I'm actually really fond in historical drama, but I have actually never watched a japanese historical drama, and I want to change this. But I'm not an expert in j-drama so I'm asking for your help. I'm searching short drama (around ~10 ep) and the classic of the genre. Thank a lot !

You mean Ooku, or Tsuma wa Kunoichi? If it's the former then yes it was adapted from a manga, not so sure about the later tho. Anyway, hope you enjoy them~
