Was this ever featured in a dorama? It sounds familiar and feels quite nostalgic.
This is a classic Japanese song that was featured in a lot of movies and dramas, as far I know, including both Japanese, other Asian and Western films. The most recent film I've watched that featured this song is Yudo (2022). ^^
You may have heard it in the Ghibli film "From Up From Up on Poppy Hill (2011)", perhaps? Or maybe in some other Asian or Western films. I think it also has an English cover.
The song was released in 1961 and later there was a musical film named after the song (Ue o Muite Arukou) released in 1962, starring the original artist himself.

Thanks for the info! It's probably from one of those melodramas from the 90's or early 2000's that I used to watch/ watch every now and then for catharsis.
