Kdrama where the leads go through life and death situations

I'm looking for a kdrama like Tales of the Nine Tales where the leads have amazing romance and they go through life and death situations. I also would love it if the leads trust and love each other enough to die for each other and protect each other. Likes its evident that they would die for each other.

Legend of the Blue Sea - both a comedy and a drama. It does have its serious moments and the two leads are twice willing to die for the other.

Goblin - good romance with many life/death situations.

I tried watching it but it was too slow and melodramatic for me, thank you for the suggestion tho!
