more serious dramas like the crowned clown or the princess' man. BUT WITH HAPPY ENDING

For historical K-dramas with serious tones similar to "The Crowned Clown" or "The Princess' Man" but with happy endings, you may consider "The King's Affection", "Love in the Moonlight", and "100 Days My Prince""The King's Affection" features a woman disguised as a man, while "Love in the Moonlight" and "100 Days My Prince" offer a blend of romance and political intrigue, all with satisfying conclusions

I just watched Dear Hongrang and loved it.   As usual, with  many historical dramas,  it is difficult to figure out the motives of  some of the main  characters. As usual I had trouble telling some of the characters apart… same hats,  similar age, mustache beards and  similar costumes.  There is a lot violence  in the last few episodes as the truth of the story is revealed; perpretrated by an adult on young children.; difficult to watch.  It had one of the most sorrowful, romantic  and heartfelt endings I’ve ever seen.  I keep thinking about watching the ending again.  I will, at some point in time, watch  Dear Hongrang again.
