Walmart it’s good when you need to buy on a budget because they are cheaper. But Publix is just a super market, Walmart is a super store. In some places you can find a Walmart that is just a supermarket but I haven’t seen one here in Georgia 

We have a few Wal-marts here in Augusta, that are only supermarkets.

Yes, the prices are probably the only reason to go to Wal-Mart.

Is Brazil like Europe?  Where they do have super markets, but they also have individually owned bakeries and butchers and  cheese shops and veggie markets, etc?  Cause there is nothing like shopping at those kind of stores.  I LOVE me a European bakery.

Yes, we’re seeing more and more of those little bakeries and fancy markets. So now I avoid the super markets and only go to the fancy ones :)

In the summer, 'farmer's' markets have become popular in the US now.  They usually are just on one day of the weekend.  And those veggies and food stuffs are always better and really weren't that much more expensive.  I used take Mom all the time.  The only negative was you had to get up EARLY to, as Mom would say, "get the good veggies."

I wouldn't be surprised if Wal-Mart changed their name in other countries also.

That is a great set up for a town and way to shop, IF they are in walking distance.

So many of these chains and big box stores have killed off the main street and small businesses of towns in America.

PLUS, European bakeries!!!!

We had the famous Paul bakery in Lincoln Road near south beach and I think there was another one in the aventura mall https://www.paul-bakeries.com/

Marshall's and Ross are fun.  Wal-Mart, is not.
