Hi, so I was looking for some historical drama recommendations. They can be historical fantasy too, I don’t mind that, but if they’re not fantasy then I’d prefer for them to have lots of events and things going on, because I find the slice of life genre to be pretty boring and often times I think some historical dramas can be boring in that way. I also don’t mind what country they’re from. Ones I’ve liked in the past are: Six Flying Dragons, The Red Sleeve, Jumong, Alchemy of Souls and The Romance of Tiger and Rose. Also I’d prefer if they’re on a streaming service or something like that but if not it’s fine. Thank you :)

The Nokdu Flower. I noticed it's already on your plan-to-watch list.

Ongoing drama Perfect Match is fun. It's about a widowed single mother of 7 children moving to the capital where her married second daughter resides to marry all her 5 unmarried daughters (including 1 widow, and 1 adopted) and seems like her missing son will be back to marry this adopted daughter as it's hinted in episode 4.

Just completed drama Flourished Peony is also fun. It's about an estranged wife running away from her husband family to escape from murder attempt (done by her father-in-law). She then moving to the capital and open a peony business with the help of a corrupt but kind official.

Seems like the two dramas are about people moving from Luoyang to Chang'An iirc.

Last year drama Knight Flower is also fun, about a widow stealing from rich and bad people to help poor and helpless people then he meet a police officer who take interest in her, both in black ninja-like suit and  in a noblewoman appearance.

Last year drama My Cherie Amour is as fun as the others but there is more misunderstanding as at first FL has fake relationship with ML's younger brother. It's about a rich heiress looking for a husband with the helps (more like obstruction and intervention) of her 4 brothers and his oldest brother's friend (which is ML) but unexpectedly she slowly fall for ML.

Last year drama The Double is a revenge drama which is fun in some way. It's about a dumped wife survives from a murder attempt done by her own husband. By chance she could take away the identity of an important minister's exiled daughter who died because of helping her. With the help (exchange benefit) of a duke she slowly avenge both the girl who's identity she takeover and her past identity.

If you liked Six Flying Dragons and Jumong, you might enjoy Queen Seondeok (Korean), which has plenty of political intrigue and action. For historical fantasy, Arthdal Chronicles (Korean) is a great choice, blending mythology with intense drama. Nirvana in Fire (Chinese) is another fantastic pick with strong storytelling and strategic battles. If you're open to Western dramas, The Last Kingdom (Netflix) and Versailles (historical but very eventful) might also fit your taste. I had a rough time balancing my dissertation with other coursework and part-time work. A senior student recommended Academized, to write my dissertation which is available here: https://academized.com/write-my-dissertation and I reached out, and they assigned me a subject expert who crafted a well-organized and insightful dissertation. The arguments were strong, the citations were accurate, and the formatting was flawless. My professor was very impressed, and I scored higher than I expected. I’m so grateful for their service!

One of my favorite's is The King's Affection. It's not fantasy but it's plot is mostly centered around political intrigue and there's lots of action.  It's about a girl who is forced to take the place of her dead twin brother and become the crown prince.
