I'm looking for probably a very specific thing.
I started watching The Scandal of Chun Hwa (which I've placed on hold due to potential love triangles). One of the aspects I find really interesting is the arranged marriage between the Crown Prince and his wife, and the conflict between duty (having to produce an heir) and finding happiness. (I assume they will eventually fall for each other if they are ever allowed to have a proper conversation).
So I'm wondering are there other historical dramas that focus on an arranged marriage? But, and here's where it maybe gets specific, I'd like to avoid the "cold mean male lead" trope. What's interesting about the couple above is they are both just so awkwardly polite with one another but still get down to business because they have to - where the typical manga trope was to have the man be mean and abrasive.
I just like the idea of these two people who have been forced together, who are constantly surrounded by aids and can barely have a moment alone unless it's for "official duties" and are awkward as fuck. And somehow through that they manage to fall in love eventually. And I wonder if that dynamic exists anywhere else.
