Short Mini Series / Web Series with No Romance

I have recently started watching Shendu Fox Detective and am really enjoying it so far. I usually am not a fan of mini series because most of them are themed around romance. Which made me think, is there more in this style without the romance?

I would love to find more mini series that I could watch between episodes of any main series.

I am also open to longer length series that do not have romance but are in the historical / wuxia genres. I have watched a lot of these, so might be difficult to find something new.

Hm...I don't tend to watch many mini series for the same reason (I'll watch romance but it's not my favourite genre and I find I need to be in the right mood to enjoy it).

I haven't watched Shendu Fox Detective, but I plan to check it out once I have fewer things to watch. One mini series you might like is Order of the Sommelier from a short while back, which is *very* good, I loved it. I'd say The Spirealmas, well, it's not a short series, historical or wuxia, but looking from your list, you might like it (horror/ fantasy/ comedy).

Pretty sure someone can be more useful for non-romance shorter dramas/ I can however recommend a few longer historical/ wuxia ones not on your list.

Blackout maybe? 8 x 23 min episodes, on Nadao's official YT channel (legal and free). It's not long enough to have the full complexity of a psychological thriller, though it does have some common themes. But it makes good use of its vertical format and narrow focus to give it a sense of immediacy and unknown danger.

IIRC one character has romantic interest in another. There's no romance though.

These seems pretty good. I've heard a bit about Order of the Sommelier so maybe I will give that a crack. Same goes for The Spirealm is definitely one that I have been meaning to watch since it's release, so maybe I should give that a crack.

I feel the exact same about the romance in dramas. Definitely need to be in a certain mood to watch it or it needs to be a pretty unique plot.

I have watched 2 episodes of Legend of Zang Hai (just haven't updated my list) and can definitely say I will be binge watching this when it's completed airing!

The other ones you mentioned are also definitely right up there in my favourite genres. I might give Under the Microscope a shot for now since I am a fan of the Male lead!
