Thank you! I Seen all of those. Just finished Come and Hug me. and don’t worry I rarely get replies with recommendations because I ask for highly rare plots or couples hahaha
Why, when I love poring over others' watchlists, did I not investigate yours first? I'm clearly far too self-absorbed.
Requests that get the fewest recommendations are the best requests - they allow others to be thoughtful about past viewing, which is re-living wonderful drama experiences through a new lens!
When I see your 10 stars for Oh My Ghost, a drama of which I am extremely fond, I think that its whimsical pretext is matched by a drama on your Plan to Watch, I'm Not a Robot.
The ML isn't wounded due to abuse by family members or others, though. I mean, there was a fated trauma trigger, and he lives all alone and eschews almost all human contact, so he's wounded as hell. In a dramaland universe of wounded male leads, you're looking for the extra-wounded ones, and he fits that description for me. Well, given that we're talking romantic comedy, here. Which, by the way, guarantees your required happy ending.
I'm Not a Robot also fulfills your condition of the ML being healed specifically by the FL. That's a constant and continued thread in the drama.
Even though it doesn't 100% match your request, I'll mention Where Stars Land, another drama on your Plan to Watch, because it has one of my favorite , most complex, most imaginatively portrayed wounded male leads. And his family members have betrayed and abandoned him, and his difficulties, while not all directly caused by relatives, can be blamed on their actions. It's not a romantic comedy, but it's not a melodrama either. And while the ending features some healing, I'd call it happier than bittersweet but not happy as in everything's perfect let's sashay down the aisle. Come to think of it, kind of like the ending of Oh My Ghost...
However, I 100% love the ending of Oh My Ghost, but I have mixed feelings about the controversial ending of Where Stars Land. The drama's and the ML's relationship to his wounds gave me some culture shock, but I won't explain more because spoilers. I can say that while experiencing the ending of this drama, my thoughts and feelings were both empathy with the character and the drama's message, and distance from the drama because it's mindset about the ML's challenges is different from the mindset of my culture. I deeply and truly value this kind of eye-opening experience, and it's a major reason why I watch tv that's not from where I grew up. However, if you want to be able to suspend your disbelief and be carried on a wave of healing romance right up to the final moment, Where Stars Land is not that kind of drama.
In addition, Where Stars Land does have a singularly wounded male lead, but the FL is not the dominant healing force in his life. She definitely goes beyond being the attraction catalyst for him to work on himself. She actually provides, not only some healing, but also challenges him to change, but she only partially fulfills your request.
