Quantcast

I am looking for something really heartwarming and fluffy to watch. Nothing with cheating, scamming, or betrayal, please. Real life is just so challenging right now, and I need something to counteract that - like a warm comfort hug in drama form.

I do watch a lot of BLs, mysteries, thrillers, and horror. But right now I am open to any country and any genre, as long as it is comforting and uplifting to watch.

Thank you!

New Life Begins historical c-drama from 2022 with Bai Jing Ting.   Overall uplifting (of course it can't be 100% all the time, but overall it is!), cute and fairly light.  Sisterhood, loyalty, quiet love beating an entrenched system.

Brewing Love modern kdrama 2024 with Lee Jong Won beautiful and healing relationship in a quiet way.  No cheating etc.,  Every woman deserves a man to look at her like ML looks at FL.

Moonlight, modern cdrama from 2021 with Ding Yuxi and Esther Yu - a little bit of annoying office drama, but a lovely dedicated relationship.

Typhoon Family, modern(period) kdrama 2025 with Lee Jun Ho - the enemy is clearly defined, it isn't all rosy but it's supportive of colleagues/family/lovers and has a happy ending.

Road Home, modern cdrama 2023 with Jing Bo Ran, like a quiet pot of tea - relax and enjoy.

I also have a list, but I haven't update it in 2 years:

But a few of them have open endings (14, 32) or bad endings (21, 22, 33) and annoying but cute ML (16.17. 20, 37) or a bit scummy MLs (2, 11, 22, 25, 29) iirc. For me they're fine, but in case you're not.

I just completed Ball Boy Tactics, it's so cute and fluffy. Has no break up, but there's a cold period.

I also currently watching Spirit Fingers, not yet finished it, but ML is a bit dumb so I think there shouldn't be cheating, scamming or betrayal.

And maybe:

A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You

An Incurable Case of Love

Love Is Better the Second Time Around as there's a plot twist on what happened in the past

Here's a list - Happy Place Romcoms: Super Upbeat and Super Sweet!

Of the dramas you've given ten stars to, I've only seen Reset, Mobius, It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Study Group. And the list doesn't have any dramas exactly like them.

For sure there isn't an FL as complex as the FL of It's Okay to Not Be Okay. However, if you like strong women as a rule, My Lovely Sam Soon is a wonderful drama.

If you like the school setting of Study Group, maybe you'd have fun with the cute college athletes of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

If you'd like a little suspense and mystery seasoning on top of a main dish of adorable fluff, than maybe consider Dali and Cocky Prince?

A very gentle Thai historical, Bussaba Lui Fai, got me through January. It's both a love story between artists and a love story to Thailand's rich cultural and artistic history. I wrote more in my review. Maybe it will help you through now.

It's available - free, legal and subtitled - on Thai PBS.
