A. Dongsaengs. In a noona romance, it's standard for the older woman to hesitate about the relationship, but eventually give in to her green flag suitor's passionate devotion. To me, the two dongsaengs who show the most desperation / emotion / reactions to the FL's resistance are:
1. Park Soo Ha of I Hear Your Voice - he does a lot of yearning, and she even dates someone else for awhile, which amps up the yearning considerably.
2. Yoon Dong Ha of Witch's Romance - similar setup, where he has to pursue her a lot and deal with her ex-boyfriend appearing in her life again.
B. Tsunderes who get their comeuppance. I can think of two red flag MLs who are absolutely emotionally constipated and cold, but melt and are then driven to distraction by the FL dishing out everything they deserve:
1. Lee Hwa Shin of Don't Dare to Dream is in his comfort zone heartlessly dismissing the FL's three-year crush. But very near the beginning of the drama, she gives up on him. When the tables turn, his reactions are priceless. He's incredulous, jealous, and the word desperate indeed applies.
2. Hyun Jin Heon of My Lovely Sam Soon, superior chaebol restaurant owner, isn't always there for the FL. But once he falls, he finds himself at a loss dealing with Kim Sam Soon, a spirited, belligerent, force of nature. His frustration approaches desperation. This is a 2005 drama that's incredibly awesome.
