I'm new to Jdrama/Jmovies! :)

Hi guys! I'm a kdrama addict, and I do watch Tdramas too! However, everyone seems to spaz over Jdramas and Jmovies too! I'm planning to start on movies first....can someone recommend a good Jmovie, and maybe Tmovie too? :) I'm looking for something emtertaining, with a hot likeable guy inside! Preferably not too sad, it doesn't have to be very very funny, but entertaining and something to introduce me to Japanese stuff too! Any suggestions? ><

I would recommend Paradise Kiss :3 i really liked it lol i just watched it recently and enjoyed it alot ^.^

I agree with you, paradise kiss is one of the best j-movies that I watched. As for J-dramas, how about rich man, poor woman? I liked very much... but if you are looking for something in the funny side I recommend Kisarazu Cat's Eye (even if is totally crazy is actually really enjoyable) ~~

As for dramas,I'd recommend Hana Yori Dango,Hana kimi (2007), One Pound Gospel, Nobuta wo produce, Gokusen, kimi wa petto,Hanayome to papa,Don Quixote, & Otomen And for movies: A Cheerful Gang Turns the Earth, Ai Ore! Love Me! & How to Date an Otaku Girl that's it for now :) if you want more recs, just ask ;)

Some are already mentioned, but I'd like to recommend some movies, too:

All three of them are funny, lighthearted and romance (but not in the form a lot of skinship/hugs/kisses). The male leads are good looking and cute :3

I know you said you want it more to be entertaining and funny instead of "sad", but yet I want to mention the following profound J movies:
- Himizu http://mydramalist.com/japanese-movie/3362/himizu
It has it's weird and funny moments especially in the beginning when they introduce the characters and you don't know them yet. In general it's more a "deep" movie and it has it's sad moments, but I just loved all of the characters in all their weird ways and the story is very touching. (And I love Sometani Shota <3.)
- Ikigami: The Ultimate Limit http://mydramalist.com/japanese-movie/427/ikigami-the-ultimate-limit
Controversial and very interesting story with sentimental moments. The male lead Matsuda Shota is a famous Japanese actor and loved by a lot of MDL users I guess ;)

you've got many great drama and movies which will take your time a lot but let me add just one movie: Runway Beat Story is cute and simple.. Seto Koji is really cute and I love his acting, he has been acted in many drama so you should give it a try. Hope you'll like it!

I'm just going to introduce the best ever J-dramas and you can consider taking them up or not. Proposal Daisakusen One Litre of Tears Code Blue and then there are really great ones like Hana Yori etc... for J movie, I actually do not have anything to recommend. Paradise Kiss was a pretty poor movie, I would stay away if I were you, but if you havent watched many Jdrama/movies yet, then perhaps you would not be as disappointed. Otherwise, for TW drama Ming Zhong is the best ever, and something not to be missed. And then there is the #1 Apple of my Eye, and from CN but a killer is Love You You. After you have tried my recommendations you can always ask for more if you enjoy them.
