Quantcast

Note: ML shouldn't be jerk/mean who puts FL down and FL should be refreshing and different from cliche who doesn't let people put her down!

Ik this is cliche but I am bored :/ (you can recommend me any genre but just no sad endings )

Slow paced development as they should take time from hating/disliking each other to becoming friends and then lover, development in character would be great too before they become lovers.
I wouldn't mind if ML pretend to dislike FL or just doesn't/realizes he likes her but he should falls first, would also like their fights/bickering/arguments to be in drama/movie for good amount of the time lol!

Thanks :))

Young Blood (Chinese) ML actually might have tried to put FL down it’s just FL is too smart to fall for that. They later become friends and lovers.

Hyena (Korean) the kindoff jerk here is the female lead, tho it was very refreshing to watch.

Accidentally in Love - lots of bickering, the whole drama is really light and playful. I haven't finished yet, but I highly recommend it

Reply 1997 - ml & fl don't hate each other, just really close friends who argue A LOT. Both Reply 1988 & Reply 1994 also have a little bit of that, if you wanna check those out too.

  • Love in the Moonlight - This one starts out as fun rom com with lots of shenanigans between them in the "hate" and friendship stages, but it also has some melo with more action, drama and politics and less comedy in the second half. It's a historical gender bender with the FL dressing as a boy. There are definitely some cliches but also some refreshing dynamics too. Although the FL is put in many tight spots, sometimes because of the ML, her attitude is full of energy, good humour and affection. I liked her, and she definitely has her share of cheeky moments. When the ML catches her posing as a noble when they first meet she pushes him into a hunter's pit and leaves him there, and in another instance she bites his finger when he teases her while she's tipsy
  • School 2017 - Fun school drama with some light hearted vigilanteism. Cute and simple. Very limited skinship. The FL is a bit cliche sometimes, but I felt that overall her good moments outweighed her bad moments.
  • Sungkyunkwan Scandal - A mix of the two above. A historical school drama where the FL dresses as a boy. The ML isn't an ass, but he is an upright stick-in-the-mud. A good mix of rivalry, bickering, friendship, character growth and romance.
  • In Time With You - Not really "hate" to start out with. The ML and FL were class representatives in high school and the boys and the girls in the class clashed a lot, so the FL considered the ML her rival while he had already fallen for her. When a boy in their class tricks a girl in their class by pretending he likes her, the FL becomes very suspicious of love confessions. The ML ends up becoming her friend instead of confessing his feelings. Although the ML falls very early on it's very slow burn (they are friends for years and are never single at the same time) and as friends they tease each other, bicker, fight and comfort each other.
  • Edit: +1 Accidentally in Love - This one is fun, silly and light hearted.
  • The Story of Ming Lan - A bit more complicated than Hate --> Friends --> Love. The ML was a stranger who helped the FL when she desperately needed help as a child. Years later he was her older brother's friend and her classmate. Later still they clashed a bit and they both trusted and had rocky romances with the wrong people and the ML is not exactly a jerk but he makes bad choices for a while. But they both help each other move forward and become sort of allies, sort of friends. The ML falls for the FL when she advises him as a friend to give his daughter a better life. After they get married the main thing that causes them to bicker is the ML getting upset when he feels that the FL isn't affectionate and doesn't get jealous enough. The FL might seem like she lets others get her down, but she's just smart and strategic. If she's in a weak position she will bide her time and manipulate the situation. Her real personality is not timid at all and in the long run she fights to come out on top of each conflict she faces.
  • Across the Ocean to See You - Lots of bickering. The FL is the ML's boss. They're never "buddy" type friends, but the ML becomes a neighbour (and subordinate) who cares about the FL's well being and looks after her. Definitely some good traditional gender role swapping.

I’m guessing you’re asking for a drama like Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo?
- Oh My Venus -> it doesn’t comply with all your specifications but it has the “I don’t like you to I love you” relationship and a strong FL.

Oh! My Lady He tries to put her down and she just scolds him right back.

Maybe The Big Boss (2017)?

Although it didn't show and say that they started going out or anything the feeling were pretty obvious....

The whole drama was based on the youth and friendship,,,so not much romance focused....

So dont expect too much..but its got good comedy!

Watch both seasons...they finish really quickly!
