Since not every audience knows Korean, the name of the character needs to be displayed together with their actual role in the drama/movie (Police chief, killer, etc.)

Since the actual character and actor can look very different, it will be easier to identify the character with their character photo instead of the real person, ie, the character could be a child when the drama was shot

I can't see this being practical to implement, that would mean having individual images for each character in each drama. Rather than simply having each actor have their own image that is then used across multiple dramas.

An actor with 100 dramas under their belt would have 100 individual photos for all their characters. It's not really scalable when we start talking about 100s of actors.

killer,

I was going to comment that this could lead to spoilers, but it seems that's what you want?

Spoiler? You're overthinking.  I just had the difficulty differentiating who-is-who; my suggestion was merely for the benefit of watching foreign dramas.  And it's only a suggestion.

You literally included 'killer' in your examples. Even limiting it to So Korean, those I've seen with a killer have been mysteries where that would be a spoiler. Is that not the norm from that country? Do most with murders show who it is within the first few episodes?

If not, you included a spoiler in your examples. It's hardly fair to scold me for commenting on that.

I didn't. I was also wondering where that "killer" came from, and I'm not familiar with the "norm" from Korea. FYI, I'm not Korean. Plus, I didn't scold you.

My initial suggestion was a very simple one. I enjoy watching C-dramas and K-dramas. It's quite difficult to identify their names with the characters, plus their recent photos are different from their characters (particularly when it comes to their historical dramas). I literally have to open up the wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Mi_Yue) so that I can identify who-is-who.  And that's all.
