I think newly created accounts should be restricted from sending DMs for the first 1–2 weeks.
A lot of scams originate from accounts that were created on the same day or just after 1 day
Limiting the ability of new accounts to send DMs would make it harder for scammers to create accounts and immediately start targeting people.
The fact that someone creates an account and immediately starts DMing people can itself be a red flag/ it's something odd to do. A short waiting period could help reduce scams, spam, catfishing and unsolicited messages while making the platform safer for everyone. I'm not someone who open links from strangers but some people might fall for it.
If this already has been suggested let me know so that i remove it, and thank you.
