Ji-N:

To keep MDL a positive and welcoming space for all drama fans, we want to remind everyone of our expectations when it comes to comments and interactions.

What’s not allowed:

  • Harassment or personal attacks

  • Racist, sexist, or hateful remarks

  • Vulgar or threatening language

  • Any form of toxic or disruptive behavior

Violations may result in content removal or account action. Let’s keep the conversation enjoyable and drama-free for the dramas, not the comments.

Thanks for helping make MDL a great community!

I kindly ask you to verify Lily Alice's articles about Zhao Lusi. This MDL staff (editor)'ve been continuously posting shady articles about the chinese actress for months, as compilations of marketing accounts and anti fans posts on chinese platforms or paid articles in shady tabloids. All actors have black drafts in Cent daily, but this MDL staff member chose to bring here only ZLS' drafts, the ugliest and most toxic part of Cent.

"When illness becomes a tool for generating clicks, and rural communities are reduced to mere backdrops, it signals a pressing need for a reset of values across the field."
This is exactly the essence of Lily Alice's last post, full of twisted words, taken out of content. Please do read the reactions of ppl in comments.

With all the respect to MDL staff, what happens isnt fair.   Shouldnt Lily Alice be fair as a MDL staff and protect the environment always, respecting the rules?
So, can MDL staff give ZLS' fans and passers by, a proof that MDL is that clean environment they claim it should be and  that they respect platform rules first? coz this is not freedom of speech, this is bullying
We reported her articles endless times, we also reported countless bad comments during HL airing, TSOPG airing, all bad comments bad ppl used to post on her page. You, guys, moved first when ZLS received life threatening on her MDL page. We tried everything, reported, kindly ask you to moderate fairly (emails), we stopped buying flowers, do you guys want us leave as we left Reddit?

Yes please My dramalist, please be fair, i hope MDL team can remove the  rumor article written by Lily Alice about ZhaoLusi, it’s really unfair to write the whole made up rumors and slander by the haters for months into 1 article like that. Mika is right, if you really want to write a gossip articles, please do it fairly to everyone in Korean and China Entertainment, not to Zhao Lusi Only so far.

My drama list we kindly request you to verify various information put on your site by lily alice about Zhao Lusi. It's made passerbys question the credibility of your site. Is it my drama list or misinformation about Zhao Lusi list? Remember the internet is not a lawless place.

kisskh has lost its credibility by allowing contributor Lily Alice to continually post slanderous falsehoods about actress Zhao Lusi. Where is the commitment to unbiased reporting? Where is the integrity in verifying information rather than recycling unverified claims from unreliable sources? MDL is no longer a platform for enjoying and tracking dramas; it has devolved into a tabloid. Whereas I once logged in daily with enthusiasm, I now visit barely once a month.

Restore MDL to its original purpose, not a platform for one of your contributors to abuse their influence. Do the right thing: remove Lily Alice’s malicious articles and prevent her from posting such content in the future.

I think any article published needs to be fact checked and generated traffic based on lies and biases is just creates feeling for the whole platform. Same with downvoting dramas based on dislike for an actor etc, the rating can no longer be used for original purposes and becomes meaningless.

 Popcxqueen:
I certainly hope that people don’t start reporting posts just because there are curse words used.  And I hope that posts containing curse words aren’t taken down. That would turn the site into something that I would not be interested in.

I am all for reporting and deleting sexist, racist, homophobic, and other hateful speech but getting a post taken down because there’s a swear word in it feels like too much.

That is why I posted the question because Ji-N's post is not clear for me! He/She/They speak of vulgar language so I wanted an explanation from him/her/them. I would not want posts taken down but posters warned and educated in what this site considers appropriate language. If curse words are appropriate, so be it and when I come upon such vocabulary, I'll just skip it. As I have been doing for years now though sometimes I cannot avoid it. Sometimes such language is appropriate but most of the times here what I saw is just people using it to express how blown away they were by a drama/film etc. It just speaks of their lack of education, in my opinion, but to each their/his/her own! Who am I to complain or say anything, for that matter? Right?

 Selbee:
t just speaks of their lack of education, in my opinion,

Not gonna lie, that’s a pretty outdated take. Using curse words doesn’t mean someone’s uneducated. In fact, people with a solid education usually have a wider vocabulary, and that includes a colourful range of curse words too. It’s literally a sign of verbal fluency to be able to express yourself in all kinds of ways, depending on the mood and message.

Some of the smartest, most educated people I know can drop a well-placed curse word like it’s an art form. It doesn’t make their writing any less valid, thoughtful, or entertaining. And let’s not forget — in these cases, people aren’t cursing at real human beings. They’re expressing frustration, excitement, or disbelief at fictional stories, characters, and situations.

Judging someone’s education based on a few swear words in a review feels a bit unfair, especially since research has also shown that swearing plays important emotional and expressive roles in language, helping people convey strong feelings, cope with frustration, and even build social bonds.
