Timeline Breakdowns and Important Dates to Remember: SPOILERS(Updated to Ep 16)

in episode  8 at 29:30, (Jan, 2023) why did In Hyuk said,"how can sunjae fall for Im Sol,the moment he meets her after 10 years"? .. Isn't it 15 years?  i couldn't understand this gap... din't they meet after 15 years...from a long gap of 2008/2009 to 2023.....

Sun Jae stays around Im Sol for a few years after the May 2009 abduction, but because Sun Jae is only associated with that horrible night for her she has a hard time being around him. Also 10 years could just be In Hyuk rounding down the number.

but what i don't understand is, how Sol went to past during the day time in episode 14 as she usually travels at midnight?

how did sunjae remember everything, when in past sol avoided all their meetings and everything related to them, like their past never existed?

also how taesung forgot sunjae while sunjae remembers everything about taesung?

no there i couldn't find any discussions related to my questions.. like how did sol traveled to past at day time when it should be midnight  like every time travelling times... in last episode how did sunjae remembered everything when sol changed the past from beginning....like how did he remembered everything when they never met....how sunjae remembers his encounters with  taesung when they never met in past ...as Sol changed the entire past from their meetings....

at the last episode i got so confused ......

4th Time Travel Timeline:

This timeline is with a NEW watch that also has 3 chances on it. She is not wearing or even really holding the watch when she presses it so it is unclear if the new watch traveled with her or if the 1st watch traveled with her. Either way she is transported back to her original start point of January 1, 2023 after stay in 2008 and/or 2009 for a few more weeks/months. My assumption is that she gets pulled back to May 7th, 2009 and THEN gets pulled back to 2023. Ryu Sun Jae is not transported back in time with her as his soul is no longer in his body. More on this in separate discussion topic.

I actual have answered both of these questions for other people within this discussion. The conversation Im Sol has with her grandmother answers the memories...Sun Jae gets his memories back because his heart remembers her.  The headaches he's having are his memories coming back all at once. Grandma's brain works differently so she was able to remember everything from the jump. 

Tae Sung lately has been getting a weird feeling around Im Sol(romantic feelings) that he hasn't had before...he is ALSO remembering the feeling of the lost timeline where he liked her. Tae Sung's Father also mentions this in the 3rd timeline when Im Sol is actively asking for his help... he doesn't know why he believes her, he just does. Memories and time are not linear in this story....it's about fate and destiny and being connected to certain people no matter what. 

The watch is a new watch. It's able to be used AFTER Sun Jae's death. So when she presses it for the first time THAT is the time she'll have to press it again. Midnight was the time only because that was when she pressed her first watch in the OG timeline. It's creating the initial jump point for Im Sol to come back to.

Im sol's birthday is may 4...then the following day they went to danpori and had an overnight there so it's may 6 then sol stayed in dapori until may 7 dawn 5am

This was my Roman Empire...I thought that we had come to the conclusion that it was May 3rd because the majority of in camera dates lined up with the 3rd....well just looked through my script book and it has her birthday as 900504 the scream I scrumpt....imma just go yeet myself off a high surface real quick. They literally showed her resume in the montage of her room in the first episode....It was too small for me to read but it was there all along....im...yeah...damn...Script book coming in clutch.

Hello there, MadelineMaureen! I just finished LR, and I have no words, except to say I've been re-watching various episodes, because I'm not ready yet to leave the Sun Jae/Im Sol universe.

 (a) I read your recap on page 1, and it was really helpful.  There was one thing I was curious about. On the second trip that Im Sol made to the past,  there was of course the abduction on Sept 1, 2008.  Later, there's a reference to a second abduction in May 10 2009. Does this mean that this trip (and Im Sol's successful escape on  Sept 1 2008)  was the cause of a second abduction of Im Sol by KYS? 

(b) Also - regarding the moment when we saw an injury on Sun Jae's forehead... do you have any thoughts on how that happened? I recall seeing it, but couldn't figure out how it happened.

(a) Yes, once Im Sol became a witness to his crimes she became his target/obsession. He was stalking her for months while she went to college and waited. 

(b) Sun Jae still cared for and liked Im Sol so he decided to attend the same university as Im Sol. They were living at home and would have taken the same path to and from school. When KYS went to grab Im Sol on May 10th her backpack was slightly open and her belongings fell into the street. This is why Sun Jae knew something was wrong and went into the building that KYS was stalking and attacking Im Sol in. Sun Jae just like in the first timeline fought KYS to protect an incapacitated Im Sol and was injured in the altercation. He called the police before entering the building and they were able to arrest him. Sun Jae then became the sole witness outside of Im Sol to KYS's crimes, she never actually SAW who kidnapped her.  Because Sun Jae was the only one to really remember KYS and was the reason that KYS was put into prison Sun Jae became KYS's new obsession and target. 

Which is why he kills or attempts to kill Sun Jae in every timeline. 1st time Sun Jae was on anti depressants and drinking so he was unable to fight back, 2nd time Sun Jae didn't have the memory of failing to protect the girl he loved so no antidepressants and fully able to fight back(but was in a coma and it's unknown if he would have survived), 3rd time Sun Jae and Im Sol didn't communicate and he mistakenly ran into KYS and noticeably recognized KYS as a wanted criminal and the man after Im Sol. 4th time...KYS was stalking Sun Jae because his dashcam caught him and he might have seen his face. 

Im Sol missed the mail from the government telling her that her attacker was released from prison(you can see her begin to open the letter in episode 8 but get distracted and leave for work without opening the letter.) Sun Jae most likely received the same letter, but because of fan mail and privacy it most likely got lost either with his company or at his father's home. 

Funny that you asked this today as I've spent the last few days rewatching my top shows of 2024 and am on ep15 of Lovely Runner.

Hello and thank you so much for your wonderful response! It really helped things fall into place for me.  Also, I just wanted to thank you  for taking the time to write out your timeline posts, I know that this was a tremendous amount of effort.

I felt that the plot was so well done, with lots of clues that make even more sense on a re-watch. I read the script author's instagram post, where she spoke about how fond she was of this script, and it really shows. I could talk about LR for hours!

I have the show scripts with an interview with her at the end, she's great. I love reading over the actual script and seeing what the internal thoughts were for the characters. It's also helping me learn to read hangul better. There were some edits I made after getting the script books because sometimes actual dates were mentioned where they previously weren't shown clearly in the show.
