  • Squid Game Season 2

    1. Squid Game Season 2

    Korean Drama - 2024, 7 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Jan 23

Enjoyed it a lot. I really loved the new set of characters and their relationships. The games were fun and Gihun's transition between S1 to S2 felt natural. I especially love Inho's inclusion which spiced up the story compared to S1. Overall, very fun season and can't wait for the finale.

  • The 8 Show

    2. The 8 Show

    Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

    7.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Jan 31

Underappreciated. Slightly torture prawn, but the classism message was very intriguing. The violence was a bit gratuitous at times, yet reflected well on the viewer's penchant for "excitement" which I love---a little meta. I wish we could've seen more of their outside lives, but maybe that's the point. Everything about this was great, just not something I could recommend to everyone.

  • Ready, Set, Love

    3. Ready, Set, Love

    Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes

    7.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Feb 06

Surprisingly a gem. Loved the dystopian worldbuilding and how far they leaned into it. The escape plot was as interesting as the game show. A little cringey yes, but super lovable characters. The main couple had me squealing at times. Def a fun romcom/melodrama I would recommend checking out (if you can handle some cringe acting).

  • Extraordinary Attorney Woo

    4. Extraordinary Attorney Woo

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Feb 20

Super lovely drama! I adore the characters and relationships. The cases were somewhat boring to me. Main couple is what kept me staying, despite not even initially watching for the romance. There are definitely some things I would have changed and didn't want to happen. But overall, it was a pleasant watch.

  • The Glory Part 2

    5. The Glory Part 2

    Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Feb 23

It took me about 2 years, but I finally finished part 2 and I'm glad I did! It took a couple eps to get into. Once I did, I was hooked. I love how the story felt so unpredictable. The revenge was satisfyingly sweet. Didn't love the forced romance. I almost think it would've been stronger without it. Still, I'm happy for Dongeun. Overall, def worth a watch.

  • Thai Cave Rescue

    6. Thai Cave Rescue

    Thai Drama - 2022, 6 episodes

    7.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Feb 28

A heartwarming survival-rescue tale. Admittedly, the story is dragged out. I don't think it needed to be 6 hour-long episodes. The story was intense though and the acting was phenomenal. Their emotions felt REAL. All the worry, frustrations, hope fading away. I thought it was brilliant.

  • Weak Hero Class 2

    7. Weak Hero Class 2

    Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    5.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  May 17

Accidentally watched before S1 lol. Was somewhat interesting, but the fights felt incredibly repetitive and the plot wholly exaggerated. I didn't particularly care for any characters nor the friendships. I just kept seeing punches every time I turned toward the screen. A little too unrealistic for my tastes. Was hoping to see Si Eun use his "wits" to fight, not just be good at fighting. Overall, fine watch, slightly disappointing.

  • Squid Game Season 3

    8. Squid Game Season 3

    Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes

    6.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Jun 27

Hmmmm...A little conflicted about the ending. Get back to me on that one. But I loved eps 1-4. Although it turned a bit melodramatic, I enjoyed the character interactions. It felt more nuanced to me than S2. I was impressed with how connected I felt to the S2/S3 characters and the games felt very well-designed. Overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm not too upset by where the series went (except for a few characters). I think it all made sense.

  • KPopped

    9. KPopped

    Korean TV Show - 2025, 8 episodes

    4.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 09

So so awkward and cringe. I only got through it so I could watch the performances, but even those weren't great most of the time. I truly hate how little they did to actually incorporate "kpop" into the songs. They didn't even add Korean lyrics until ep 5!!! It felt like the idols were backup singers and dancers to the pop stars. Poorly developed and executed idea. They got some crazy amazing stars though, I must say. Highlights were easily both ATEEZ performances, Vanilla Ice x Kepler, both JO1, and both Blackswan.

  • Alice in Borderland Season 3

    10. Alice in Borderland Season 3

    Japanese Drama - 2025, 6 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 06

Controversial, but I enjoyed this season the most. Yes the plot was terrible and did not make any logical sense. However, in terms of the games and the characters, I was pretty hooked. I think the games were more creative and thrilling than previous seasons and I also quite liked the new group (even if we didn't get much time with them). Ryuji sucked. Generally though, it felt like a solid watch and I came out more satisfied than I did in S1 and S2.

    12. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

    Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    7.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 19

This was quite the pleasant surprise. I quite enjoyed it, despite not really caring for medical dramas. The characters were fun and it made me appreciate trauma departments MUCH more. Every episode was a thrilling case with a nice touch of underdog storytelling. I mainly wish the drama was longer and with a stronger bromance to fully cement a higher rating.

  • Trillion Game

    13. Trillion Game

    Japanese Drama - 2023, 10 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 20

Trillion Game has such an addicting concept where you never know Haru's next move. It is such a wild ride with a great cast of characters and intriguing plot. As a whole, it's a very satisfying and complete story. I loved it a lot and would easily recommend it for anybody who's looking for a good jdrama.

  • Siren

    14. Siren

    Japanese Drama - 2015, 9 episodes

    7.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 21

I have mixed feelings about Siren. Good: the story was done well with a crazy plot you'd only find in jdramas. Each episode felt exciting and I personally couldn't stop watching once I got into it. Not so good: The characters are downright frustrating. I also wished the suspense and ending built to something different. I would have loved a different ending, but I don't want to spoil it here lol.

  • Adventure of the Ring

    15. Adventure of the Ring

    Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes

    7.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 21

At first I thought it was just a fun, cute little anthology show. A pleasant watch, but nothing to write home about. However, the ending is truly perfect. I swear I nearly teared up. It has such a sweet ending that ties the entire show together perfectly. An easy watch all around.

  • Tokyo Swindlers

    16. Tokyo Swindlers

    Japanese Drama - 2024, 7 episodes

    8.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Oct 27

Tokyo Swindlers wasn't what I expected it to be, but it still delivered well. The high stakes made for an exciting experience, I nearly forgot we were in the antagonist's perspective. However, while the case itself is well-done, where they really fumbled was in Takumi's story. To say that entire plot is weak is putting it lightly. There needed to be more payoff that I feel we simply didn't get. Shame.

  • Last Samurai Standing

    17. Last Samurai Standing

    Japanese Drama - 2025, 6 episodes

    8.5

    COMPLETED  ♥  Nov 18

I heard this was good and people were not lying ! A unique take on the death games storyline. Even if you're not a fan of period pieces, this is still an easy easy recommend. Fantastic cinematography and battle choreography. The last fight was especially incredible. Main qualm is Netflix's penchant for splitting dramas into two parts. I hope part 2 is just as good as this one.

  • Weak Hero Class 1

    18. Weak Hero Class 1

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    7.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Nov 19

So I finally got around to watching S1 after accidentally watching S2 first and I definitely agree S1 was better. The emotions and relationships felt much stronger and more realistic than S2 imo. It was also nice understanding all the references they made lol.

However, as a standalone drama, there were still many things I didn't fully enjoy. The second half felt more frustrating to watch than anything and like S2, the violence felt so excessive and unrealistic. Gratuitous violence, as they say. But, I do think the pacing and frequency of the violence flowed much better. It came when it was necessary, not just every other scene. Overall, better than S2, but still had the same repetitive overly-violent nature. Not for me.

  • Shinuhodo Aishite

    22. Shinuhodo Aishite

    Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

    4.0

    COMPLETED  ♥  Dec 07

I thought it was an interesting concept, but it was so so poorly delivered. The writing left little intrigue or mystery you'd expect from this kind of story, opting to reveal mysteries AS they pop up. I was hoping for an unreliable narrator psychological thriller, maybe even a revenge plot. Instead, I got a serial killer sob story romanticizing women victims, mental health, and with the most unbelievable and baffling final episodes. I was interested enough to finish, but I'm not too sure it was worth it tbh.
