Favourite Thai actresses

It was a serious role in a short film (Present Perfect) which brought Aom onto my radar, but I love the screwball comedy energy she brings to other roles. She's the one who really makes Full House work.

series - Astrophile; movies - Suddenly 20, Heart Attack, Pee Mak

FL in Thai PBS' superb The Broken Us and why I will watch her in anything. Except Faces of Anne. Didn't get very far in that one.

movies: Where We Belong, The Cursed Land (moody teenager/early 20s in dark atmospheric moody horror)

lakorn - Formidable matriarch in To Sir, With Love (Khun Chaai) (For all international viewers replicate sexism by focusing on the romance between young men, this is really a story about women negotiating a world which denies them agency and power except through their associations with men.)

The formidable matriarch's right hand woman and just as strong. To Sir, With Love (Khun Chaai)

Also in To Sir, With Love. Her strength is in her gentleness.

Who Are You?, Royal Doctor, and lakorn villainess in You Touched My Heart

lakorn - A Tale of Ylang Ylang, movie - Friend Zone

she does serious well and is such a delight when she can be playful

Century of Love, Tanman

She is already a great talent. Really looking forward to watching her develop her skills further.

One of GMMTV's very best. My favourite roles for her include Who Are You?, UMG, Wake Up Ladies and Midnight Museum.

One of GMMTV's very best, at least when they don't belittle her as a crazy ex-girlfriend in a BL. My favourites of her roles so far - Who Are You?, Midnight Motel, her brief turn in Home School, Tonhon Chonlatee, Peaceful Property

Home School, The Comments

The Comments, Cause You're My Boy, Youniverse (also very good for baby Chimon and young Jan)

Best friend/confidant in many others

series - The Shipper (so funny), Astrophile (love the series, wish they'd written a more interesting character for her though), The Comments, my favourite episode in On Sale/Peaceful Property

It was Turn Left, Turn Right which really introduced me to her, and it's one of the more substantial roles they've given her but I can't rec the series at all.

Good but unfortunately brief roles in Who Are You?, 55:15 and The Gifted. Need to find more of her work. (She's in The Death of Khun Phra, Thai PBS, along with other under-used favs like Fiat. So happy to see her there.)

series - 23.5 (my fav character in this & my fav of her roles), 55:15, Midnight Museum, Moonlight Chicken, The Shipper, The Trainee, Home School

The number of roles I've failed to recognise this shape shifter in :D :D  She's very well suited to OTT comedic characters like adorable Soda (The Shipper), spoiled diva Jaya (55:15 Never Too Late) and air head who gets to become a lot more (The Trainee), but was so good playing dark and complicated in Enigma.

series - fangothing magic in Engima, title role in The Shipper, a bit lost in the ensemble of Home School; disappointing, dreadful character in The Secret of Us (zero shade on her, all the blame on the writers/director)

series - her comedy in Wake Up Ladies

Nang Nak (national treasure of a tragic love story), scary teacher Waree in the Eclipse and Thun's fantastic mae in He's Coming to Me

movies - Teacher's Diary, Love of Siam

Low Season is one of my very favourite movies. Really need to find more from Ploypailin.

movie - May Who?  great coming of age with teenage emotions as literal electricity

Stay (excellent older short series kept available thanks to a fansubber, I can help with links)

lakorn - Ginny, who loves as big as she whines in Khaen Rak Salap Chata

lakorn - Game Prattana (Rivalry)
