south korea has been remixing goblin (2016) every time they do a supernatural romance and i will be seated every time. so sue me, i like my supernatural romances!

normally i'm very "no thought, v smooth-brain" when i watch dramas, but i watched this with my sister so maybe that's why my neurons were really firing. bc i loved how the writers don't hand everything to you - they leave clues and lets you read between the lines, connect the dots, and understand the implications. it's a show you can't help but stay engaged, theorize and predict the next plot twist. it's fun, everyone got what they deserved, and nothing went to waste.

as a lover of the original taiwanese drama, "someday or one day," this was a pretty faithful remake with only two big differences (but i actually welcome these changes). nothing beats the original, but it's pretty darn close.
