This was good but also I'll never forgive the person who recommended this to me.
-
7. Juvenile Justice
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
I wish this show had whatever it is that Voice has that causes it to get multiple seasons. I could have watched so many seasons of this and I really enjoyed how Kim Hye Soo and Kim Mu Yeol were together.

27. She Was Pretty
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
The SML syndrome on this was so bad that I practically sprinted to AO3 after the last episode's ending credits. He thought she was pretty the whole time! But even if he didn't, the airport ride scene absolutely killed the romance between the leads dead for me.

32. Voice
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I didn't enjoy watching this but I recognize its place in the world as where I can reliably see a certain group of actors, ones who don't typically get to be male leads but are capable of a certain level of menace and who people might not immediately recognize by the sound of their voices/silhouettes.

33. Again My Life
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
I really want to like this concept but the execution just never seems that great, even if I like all the actors in it like I do here.

37. HIStory4: Close to You
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
Oh wow, this was horrible. These stars were earned entirely by one half of the main couple, who plays an earnest good guy pretty well, and is able to make up for how the other half of the main couple is just some guy that I assume they found on the street the day before filming. The side couple though is easily the worst things I've ever sat through. I thought the younger step-brother was a creepy weirdo as soon as I saw him, and hated everything single second of him being around, but the absolute breaking point was that this show has two "get someone intoxicated so that I can force myself on them" scenes. One of them is treated like a crime, when it's some business guy forcing himself on one half of the main couple, and the other one is played like a crime, even down to some absolutely harrowing scenes afterwards of the older step-brother being traumatized, until the show (and the older step-brother) just decides that actually it wasn't that big of a deal, and the step-brothers are each others' one true love. Just gross.

38. First Love Again
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
-
39. Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2
Thai Drama - 2017, 8 episodes
The second season of a romance plot always seems to be 'you know the couples that we built up last season? they should break up because in each couple, one of them is terrible' and the reason they're terrible is always something that seems like a super easy fix. It's very hard to root for someone's love when they just seem like a total moron for having an issue with it. I have rewatched this a couple of times now and what I will say is that every time, I fixate more and more on possibly the funniest villain I've ever encountered, Din. I almost have to agree with him: Pick is kind of the worst, and maybe Rome should just be with Din, who is also terrible, but in a different and more loyal way.
