Done & Dusted: Dramas Completed in 2026
-
1. Shine on Me
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
A quiet, patient love story built on emotional honesty, clear communication, and two leads who heal and grow together without drama.
-
2. Mother
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
This drama redefines motherhood as something earned through showing up, staying present, and choosing a child again and again, even when the world makes it difficult.
-
3. Made in Korea
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
I had my doubts at first : the story didn’t quite match the strength of the acting and cinematography. But that ending changed everything. Now, I’m fully on board for Part Two of Made in Korea.

4. Love Me
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
I loved how imperfect they all were.

5. Yonder
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
Yonder is a thought-provoking but unsettling mini-series set in 2032. It explores a service that creates a digital afterlife from only your happy memories, allowing reunions with the departed.
While it's a compelling look at grief, the concept made me uncomfortable. The idea of a perfect, static world of memories feels more like torment than peace. Its strength is in questioning this: are fragile, real memories more precious than perfect, artificial ones?
Visually stunning and well-paced, it’s a quick, philosophically heavy binge that stays with you.

6. Pro Bono
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Uneven execution, meaningful stories and a lead whose growth made it worth sticking with.
-
7. Can This Love Be Translated?
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
Strong performances, beautiful cinematography, and an interesting concept, slightly held back by uneven emotional execution.
-
8. A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
The acting felt off at first, and it took me quite a while to adjust to the awkwardness and the extremely snail-paced romance. Once I got past that, the drama became enjoyable, though I found the second couple far more interesting than the main one. The story itself was decent, but the OST was hands down my favorite part of the drama. Overall, it’s a cute portrayal of two very introverted adults slowly falling in love after an arranged marriage.

9. Idol I
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Built on trust and emotional connection, this drama works best when it focuses on its characters and the quiet bond between the leads. The contrast between fame and personal pain is handled with care, and I appreciated the mature way conflicts were resolved. Unfortunately, the mystery side is much weaker...key plot turns feel convenient, and the investigation lacks depth, which makes the final stretch underwhelming. A decent, gentle watch, but not very memorable, especially for a mystery-thriller.
