My favourite of the year so far -
4. Melo Movie
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Found this to be better than Our Beloved Summer (since everyone is comparing this to that, cause of how similar they feel)
With OBS, I found the structure and storytelling to be all over the place and at times draggy, but Melo Movie has done that part well on top of everything that made OBS good. -
5. Study Group
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Honestly, not too sure about this. Yes, I did enjoy it; I thought the pacing and entertainment value were done very well. But at the same time, I found it to be lacking. Found it almost too "cartoonish" if you get what I mean.

7. Hospital Playlist
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Ongoing, it will take a while.
What I'm watching while waiting for new episodes of airing dramas. -
8. The First Frost
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
Super hyped, global success.
But I just couldn't get into their characters. It was actually "boring" watching them for me (don't kill me) I tried picking it back up 3x in between shows and gave up trying to make it work. -
9. Our Unwritten Seoul
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
dropped, not feeling it
-
10. Wall to Wall
Korean Movie - 2025
first half was amazing, second half was random af

-
12. Squid Game Season 3
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes

-
14. Twelve
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes

15. Bon Appetit, Your Majesty
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Was the final arc messy and borderline ridiculous at times? Yes.
Was the plot basic and predictable? Absolutely.
Was the palace politics in this one complete rubbish? Without a doubt.
And yet... I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is, in my opinion, Yoona’s best work to date. I’ve always found her ordinary and unremarkable as an actress. But here, while she’s still very much the same Yoona, something about her felt different. Perhaps it was the way she carried herself, the consistent confidence she exuded as a chef. Whatever it was, it worked. I genuinely loved her in this role. She should take on more characters like this instead of playing the usual helpless damsel in distress characters, which can be pretty annoying to watch.
This drama also served as my introduction to the very charming Lee Chae Min. I'm afraid his image of pure foodgasm will forever be etched in my memory. I can’t speak to the historical accuracy of his tone or mannerisms, but he made his portrayal of a Joseon King incredibly fun to watch, oddly endearing.
Despite all the flaws, and there are quite a few. I had a great time. It’s one of those dramas where my rating ends up higher than it probably “deserves,” purely because of how enjoyable it was. And for me, enjoyment is always the wildcard when it comes to scoring a show.
Final rating: 8/10 -
16. Love's Ambition
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
I know I’m going to miss this one.
Beautifully paced despite being 32 episodes long, I think more C-dramas could learn from how tightly this one managed its story. The greatest compliment I can give is that even though this is technically a romance drama, both leads shone so brightly in their own individual arcs that I found myself genuinely invested in them as people, not just as a couple. I didn’t need them to be together to feel something, and that’s something many romance dramas fail to achieve.
But even so, when they come together, my god the chemistry is insane.
Yes, the ending is a little loose and a bit too fairytale-ish for my taste, but by that point, I just wanted the best for both of them. I’d become a supporter of their love story, and that to me is the mark of a successful romance drama (though this one leans more soapy than rom-com, if I’m honest).
Really, really enjoyed this one. I’m glad I picked it up. I started it solely because of Zhao Lusi, but now.......William Chan.....what a gorgeous man you are. I need more of you on my screen.
Final score: 8.5/10
Romance done right! -
17. Dear X
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
-
18. The Manipulated
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
This is why I don't really get excited over action shows.
It always leaves more questions than answers.
Great in the moment I guess but often ends up into a ball of nothingness the moment you stop watching it.
Everything that is important in a good story just all get thrown out of the window and when the fundamentals of good writing are pushed aside for nonstop thrills, the experience becomes shallow rather than satisfying.
And it's always these kind of shows that keeps getting S2/3/4/5 zzzzzz
ps: still a good watch this; but just felt like I wasted my time (I know watching dramas in general is not the best use of. time to begin with) but this one made me FELT it the moment episode 12 credit scene rolled.
A very reluctant 7/10
The last 4 episodes were shit, cartoon network level kind of plot.
I spammed my right key and still felt like I didn't missed anything at all. -
19. The Shadow's Edge
Chinese Movie - 2025
