honestly i felt like the last ep really came out of nowhere and i didn't really like the whole going to war plot device...  i guess i just stopped being excited at some point but yeah i'd say this drama is above average though to give it an 8 it had to become somehow meaningful to me which it didn't

this drama felt so different from everything i've ever watched and i deeply appreciated that.

the scenery, the people- and their relations, it all felt so mundanely enchanting and i'm sure it'll stay with me for a long time. really glad i picked this up

iu never fails to impress me with her acting..  this was phenomenal, i'm so happy it didn't dissapoint :') i think it was the first time i related so hard with some things they said and there were so may times when i felt like crying... like every ep lol just incredible really

wen yifan felt so vulnerable and real, her character really hit hard, the actress did an amazing job! honestly in the begginning i was wondering how they'd drag the story for so long since it has so many eps but i feel like they wrapped things pretty well ;)

honestly, i feel like this started really well, refreshing and kept me interested but then it just started going downhill with all the subplots... i feel like it had potential to be much more but they just complicated everything and then couldn't resolve it satisfyingly , even the characters and dynamics lost their charm along the way

also, the last ep had some arcs that were too fairytale-y to me- it was just unrealistic

the best part was definitely the cinematography

to be truly honest this is more like an 8.7 but i feel bad giving it less than nine because for good part of the show that was my accurate rating (even tho i feel like the last eps were a bit more weak...)

STILL, i really loved the characters and felt empathetic for what they were going through and their struggles and that's what really stand out for me

honestly i'm conflicted about this drama. there were parts where i really enjoyed it and others when i felt oddly an irk. the conclusion i came to was that i enjoyed je ha and  da eum more when they were something platonic and the yearning that came with it. when they became a couple i just didn't feel it really and i felt frustrated because wasn't that what i was hoping for? and the answer i came to is that no, that wasn't what i wanted. i liked the thrill of them wanting each other but not giving in to their emotions because of their circumstances. very sadic of me i know lol
