It's raining men! Hallelujah! - Unique MLs

Traumatized to the point of barely functioning was an interesting approach to the usual badass ML. Him being a malewife and essentially a househusband gives him bonus points 

Especially TML, he's sooooo puppy coded. An unbothered king, giving a grand total of -100 hells about anyone's opinions living his best life and thriving. 

Softspoken, supportive and so incredibly babygirl. Everything from his mannerisms to his looks were so unusual (and babygirl coded, like OMH). He also cares so much about his students and fully trusts and supports FL

Specifically SML. He's quite unlike any ML I've seen in a historical cdrama before. Not only is he disabled but he's also an effortless badass. Like bro has tattoos yet maintains his elegance

Femboy crossdresser, how much more unique can one get? He's so supportive and kind of the people around him but doesn't let himself be walked over. He doesn't fit in most places so he finds a place where he does and cherishes it. Also bro's fashion sense is on another level

Softspoken, gentle and shy. They really don't make them like this enough (︶︹︺) His vibes were so relaxing and he's so baby 

Spoiled brat princess. He starts off iffy but comes around and becomes a very doting husband who appreciates and supports his badass wife

One of the–if not the–most narcissitic ML ever but in the cutest way possible. He's such a drama queen but also such a sweetheart 

Homme fatale ML who's a flirt, a seductor and a cutie? This really was peak characterization. Another drama queen who knows he's the prettiest boy and isn't afraid to use that to his advantage

Yet another softspoken and shy ML. I really loved his character. Despite being quite reserved he was still very resolute and strong-willed

Specifically TML (Yak). Such a refreshing take on the typical badass gangster. He was so funny and kind and warm. He's so supportive of those around him too

This one actually has TWO

• ML. A realistic approach to the aloof general MLs. He's an older guy and very traumatized and that is what contributes to his aloofness. He's also wise and smart and drinks so much respect-women-juice, AUGH
• SML. A boytoy who would do ANYTHING for his evil gf to achieve her goals. Like, cmon. He's also an amazing friend and drinks so much respect-women juice, man's an addict

Genuinely bro was just there. He didn't want to take part in anything, he was just unfortunately dragged into all the shenanigans. Such an unbothered king and ALSO babygirl? Imma need more asap

Bro literally gets pregnant. We stan an emotionally vulnerable man finally understanding women's struggles 

Manic pixie dream boy coded. He's not like the other guys, he's quirky and different and tis very cute

Short king supremacy! 

Precious and cute. Terribly naive and somewhat of a troublemaker but kind hearted, affectionate, sensitive, supportive and suuuuch a puppy!

ML as the 2nd prince is so homme fatale-coded and uh... let's say coquettish 

Super puppy and flirty but also scheming. An interesting duality tbh. He's also kinda mommy coded (and he's also a dancer which slay)

Lots of variety of rr and househusbands~ I especially loved ML from the 2nd and 4th couple. One was adorable devoted, such a caretaker and the 4th one was more fiesty but such a great father and hubby 100/10

Extremely shy, kinda insecure and so incredibly adorable. He's not your usual assertive ML, in fact, he can't even make eye-contact and it was hecking adorable. 10/10

Soft-spoken, shy, gentle and sweet. They don't make them like this nearly enough. I LOVE HIM, he's my babygirl

Subby puppy bb. He really is just so dang adorable, there's nothing else to say. A lil smitten puppy

Quite, reserved, soft-spoken, and gentle. Though he's mature in his ideas and personality, he's still very clearly a young guy figuring things out. He's so respectful and loving, like, aaaa

Emotional train wreck of a king. He seems like he's going to be a fairly standard ML but then he starts crying in 6/10 scenes and you realize that is far from the truth. Nothing revolutionary, but amidst the sea of emotionally constipated MLs (especially in historical dramas), this was a VERY refreshing take. 

Fierce femboy FTW! He knows what he wants and sets boundaries clearly. He never oversteps but he makes his feelings clear. He's confident and fierce and so cute.

Very refreshing for a gangster delinquent ML to be so puppy-coded. I absolutely loved how deathly devoted he was to his friends and family especially. He's also just so cute, energetic, and friendly. Definitely a breath of fresh air

Softspoken, reserved, and shy but far more cunning and capable than he lets on. I really liked how he pretended to be put-together and aloof but instantly melted into FL's hand whenever she treated him gently. Also nice disability rep! 

First 1-12 eps | Initially he seems like your average overpowered bloodthirsty red flag ML but there's actually far more to him. He struggles with PTSD, depression, and survivor's guilt from his family being killed and having been raised only by his grandmother who groomed him to be a leader, he was always lacking in parental figures, which it shows. In many ways, he's emotionally stunted and that's the point. He struggles with expressing himself in a normal way and has the soft naive heart of a child in a man's body.

Ignore the rest of the episodes. We don't talk about those

Nurturing softspoken but still with spunk has gotta be one of my favourite kinda men. In basically every way he's very much the wife of the dynamic. Caring, understanding and soft, always looking out for his kid and prioritising him. Supporting his wife but still letting her hear his displeasures and he's also shyyyyy aaaaa

From the getgo he does not seem like a ML. He's arrogant, mean, and constantly being played. He's not royalty, in fact, he barely managed to rise from immense poverty and is constantly being bullied by the rich. He's opportunistic and a kiss-up but as the drama goes on, we get to see that he's actually not quite as unpleasant as he initially seems. He's very sensitive and hardworking, always prioritising his family and people over himself even to the point of burnout (which yes, we do get to see). He suffers from PTSD and isn't afraid of showing his emotions, even going as far as to cry when he feels it (and this is often). He's also warms up to FL and ends up being very caring to her but never losing the immense respect he has for her as a peer.
