Fancasting the K-Drama Version of Aftertaste

as Easton West 

An egotistical, arrogant, Michelin star chef with violent tendencies who is forced to retreat to his hometown  after a scandal. His family, however, who he abandoned over 25 years ago aren't exactly trilled he's returned. Failing to admit to his faults, he decides to rebuild stringing along his niece, a inspiring pasty chef, that idolizes him, as his new "business partner" although he has no intentions of sharing the spotlight. 

as Diana

Easton's niece, a aspiring patissier, who becomes known for her unique creations, who jumps at the opportunity to work with her famous uncle, unaware of how he doesn't have her best interests at heart, but slowly begins to realize her talent. 

as Denise 

Easton's younger sister who has resented him ever since he ran away  leaving her to take care of their widowed alcoholic father on her own. She now has a successful business, a twenty year old daughter and is in a long term relationship with the towns handyman, but her older brothers return brings up old trauma. 

as Brett

Denise's long term boyfriend. Despite not being Diana's biological father, they are very close, and he finds himself the buffer between the family fighting. 

as Jim

Denise and Easton's father who has been a alcoholic mess since his wife died when his kids where young, who seems to be hiding a secret. 

as Ben Zhao 

Easton's former hoobae, who he had taken under his wing years ago. Ben has since build up his own empire owning several restaurants through Seoul and other parts of Asia, which drives Easton crazy.  Especially since he's opening one near his hometown. Ben tries to help him, but quickly changes his mind after Easton's attitude and decides to antagonize him instead. 

as Kwame

A junior chef working at Ben's new restaurant that Diana likes and later dates. He finds him self torn between his loyalty to Ben and getting mixed up with Easton and Diana.
