My DROPPED List (so far)

Well, I tried. I REALLY did. (Enough said)

Here's a chronological* list of dramas and movies I tried to watch as much as possible of (but failed miserably) BUT HAD to drop for my own precious sanity, since starting watching Asian shows in September '22.
*From earliest (top) to most recent ones (bottom).

I admit it can be hard for me to drop a drama. And that's the one of the main reasons this DROPPED List is so short. I clearly suffer from FOMO but, no worries, I'm working on it. Sloowwwwly. 😉

Before I decide to finally drop a show, I like to give it a -more than!- fair chance. I usually watch at least the first 4-5 episodes of a Asian drama (or the first 7-8 episodes of a -usually longer- Chinese series).
I doubt I'll ever give any of these titles another try in the future. It's not that I don't want to (well, some I clearly don't. Like never !) but time is of the essence here, guys ! 😅

IMPORTANT: As a matter of principle, I don't rate shows I haven’t watched AT LEAST HALF of their episodes. And those I did indeed rated were usually done very generously, I think.

Korean Drama - 2009, 16 episodes

Dropped on episode 2.
I found this show has aged so badly. I probably would have quite enjoyed that show while it aired in 2009 but it's impossible for me to watch it nowadays (2022).

I dropped this show so fast (I couldn't even get to the end of episode 1) ! It looked so ridiculous.

3. Bad Guys: City of Evil

Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

7.0

That overdose of fights was too much for me ! This series seemed to be a non-stop succession of men brawling in every somber place possible.
The acting -when they weren't busy fighting- wasn't bad but I couldn't go past episode 8 (of 16). I think I should have watched the original "Bad Guys" (2014) instead.
4. The Sound of Your Heart

Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes

5. Intern in My Heart

Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

I had to stop on episode 2 as I found this show very stupid (plot/script wise) and extremely caricatural (acting). There was nothing subtle or any finesse about it.

Fun and interesting show !
Alas, even with subtitles, some of inner and cultural jokes were lost in translation (which I find perfectly normal but) it lessened my overall enjoyement. The recipes were culturally interesting and different but sometimes too elaborate or too unusual for me to relate to or to want to try them.
I might want to return to one or two episodes in the future though, as palate cleanser between 2 dramas.

15. Our Skyy 2: The Eclipse

Tried to watch this 2-episodes Special in October '25 but dropped it in the middle of the 1st episode.
