My Current 2026 Watchlist (so far)

This was a "leftover" from 2025 that I had just started in December.
FINALLY finished it around mid-March '26.

What a journey ! This was such a Love-Hate relationship between that drama and I.
I enjoyed episodes 1 & 2. Hated episodes 3 to 9 (during which I almost dropped this show a few dozen times because of boredom and sheer frustration). And back to enjoying episodes 10 to 16.
I LOVED the main leads' (great duo) acting skills and non-romantic chemistry but the majority of characters were so infuriating. It made me impossible to connect to them.
The thriller/suspense part of the story was overall interesting but it sadly became almost absent from episodes 3 to 9. I found those episodes quite boring and way too slow. And I'm usually a big fan of slow-paced dramas !
Why didn't I dropped it then and there ? Tbh, I so wanted to. I thought about giving up countless of times but I REALLY wanted to complete that famous -supposedly best of its genre- Kdrama. Everybody and their mothers seemed to love this show and I desperately wanted to understand why, so I pushed through. Do I regret it ? Not really but I'm relieved it's over.

I gave it a generous (for my part) 8 out of 10. I recognise how talented the cast and how (politically) smart the plot is but I think part of the script and storytelling lacked the "fervor/vigor" it much needed to keep me fully engaged throughout it.

This little Kdrama was 2nd watch of 2026.
Different but not bad. Well acted even though I wasn't completely sold on the MLs' chemistry.
Just felt a bit incomplete/underdeveloped.

This cute and funny drama Special was my 1st watch of 2026.
Had previously watched the original drama in April 2024.

3rd show started & finished in January '26. 

It was nice but nothing special.
I found the (Pharmaceutical Industry) business interesting. I enjoyed the side characters a bit more than the MLs.
I rarely say this but I wasn't feeling the -unexpected and sudden- MLs' romance.  Was there even a romance between these 2 characters ??
Personally I still don't understand why being single (or staying unmarried if you're in a relationship) is so shameful in this day and age. People pressuring others to get married (or at least be in a relationship) is a no-go for me.

I loved it ! A good romcom without crazy storylines. It's super cute and very funny.
The cast's acting skills and chemistry are incredibly good.
Heartfelt healings and friendship, hilarious characters and moments, it truly had it all. Such a wholesome show !

BUT I personaly found the last episodes way too rushed.
Every fight and confrontation are clearly meant to happen but they just bombarded everything in the last 2 episodes. And everything just got magically fixed almost immediately after that.
I know it's fiction but there are so many real life aspects in the series that made it feel so relatable and "it all just magically and perfectly mending on its own" felt completely unrealistic and thus very unfulfilling to me.

Definitely not your typical BL but an overall heartwarming "found family" drama addressing Japanese societal themes with care.
While this show had a lot of fun and interesting characters and a few refreshing parts, there were moments when it felt a bit sluggish and lacked some "oomph". Even the 2 MLs' acting felt a bit off at times.
I don't regret watching it but I found it had the potential to be better.

Started in March '26. DROPPED after completing the first 4 episodes.

It simply bored me. The acting was great and there were a few good scenes here and there but unfortunately nothing was really gripping me the rest of the time.

Why watch the sequel when the 1st season didn't really satisfy me ?
Well, firstly I enjoyed the 2 main actors' interactions, but more honestly because I use this second season as a sleeping pill the nights when I can’t fall asleep.

Finally DROPPED on episode 3.
The "Sleeping Pill" Method worked so well that I never succeeded staying awake past episode 3. So, I decided to definitely drop it in June '26.

I was eagerly waiting for the 3rd and final season to be completely over so I could finally start and binge watch this series from the beginning.

I'm glad I watched this show. I liked it but I was also so nervous and stressed while watching. I had to stop multiple times during some episodes. I'm quite surprised this series had such a trigger effect on me. Tbh I'm still processing and trying to figure out why I was so reactive during this watch...
Maybe season 2 will be less "triggering" for me ;-)

Oh my... I tried to go slow but I binge-watched that one so fast ! I LOVED that 3rd season so much.
My only complaint: this 3rd installment was WAY TOO SHORT !
The first two seasons had 14 episodes each and this last one was merely 8 episodes long. This final season could have easily benefited from (at least) 2 more episodes as the last episodes felt a bit rushed compared to the beginning.
