Chinese Filmed Vertically Web Short Series Completed

The ml fell in love at first sight and nver let go. The reasoning of the fl was faulty about why she should not stay with the "uncle" even though she loved him. Cao Tian Kai did a good job of possessive and domineering and they had some steamy times... ;)

I think my laptop caught fire from some of those kisses and briefly seen love scenes, lol! (Yes, for those that haven't seen my comments, I OWN that I really do like a good kiss scene, lol!)
I was on the fence, at times, with the ML, but he admitted he wasn't a good person. The FL was good at playing naive and innocent, but did show some growth later. Yes, it had predictably, but it's a reused script for the most part. Gotta admit I rated higher simply because of the kisses.
Anyway, I watch these short series to clear my mind, give me smiles and emotional flutters. That being said, there's always questions regarding our humanity when I watch these. Sometimes, not many and othertimes a lot depending on the script. I know there's a push in China to more closely regulate content, such as no evil grandparents. Instead grandparents should be presented as wise and caring. Well, duh, who doesn't want grandparents like that. I view all the deplorable behaviors of characters, from whatever country of origin, as a moral from which to learn or teach.

Happy ending with them married and pregnant. I like a HEA as well. ?

Not much domineering ML in this but lots of weak and crying FL. This one rolled several common story plots into a disjointed whole, lol! Nice visual with ML: Zou Ke Jun, who doesn't have a MDL page yet. A couple of ok kisses and cute with some intimacy while pregnant. Loved how supportive and protective ML is of FL. Loved how FL blossoms into confident and successful woman. Loved supportive mother-in-law.

Xie Yu Wang can do steamy kisses. And possessive. Li Ke Yi dees innocent white rabbit well. Good pairing with good chemistry. And steamy kisses....

Made me laugh several times with the soul swap results! Very cute with the two progressing into a sweet love story. Loved the supportive mother-in-law. Of course, there's gotta be a crazypants girl with delusions of getting the ML. LOVED the twist at the end which left me where I began at the beginning, laughing. Some nice kisses, too. ;)

I watched this because I like Yang Shu Yu, but gotta say I rated as high as I did, (6.5), only because I was somewhat satisfied with the end for the ML. Although, I would rather have had him live in remorse. This was one messed up ML due to his trust issues with why people would befriend or love him and what he did by lying to the FL was devastating to her. His lies destroyed both of them. I liked how the FL decided to go forward and the possibility of mending her heart in the future.

This one must have had some missing scenes because it's very choppy at times. Like, one minute we get a really steamy kiss scene, then it cuts to something different. And you go, what happened with the kisses, lol. Crazypants 2ML. Unanswered questions, like when did the ML suspect Fl's dad wasn't responsible for the fire or why was he giving blood? The only thing that really works for me was some steamy kisses and chemistry of these two together. You could fast forward to those, lol!

First time watching these two. Xie Yu Wang needs more kiss scenes in whatever series in which he acts. Lol. 

I loved how the MC took turns "seducing" each other. Loved how he flirted with her. Several good kisses ;)

Qian Zhe did intense, domineering, possessive emperor here fairly well. The little white rabbit fl eventually grew some teeth. The chemistry and tension was better the first half. It was an interesting plot twist with his sister and the fl's ex. Throw in a reincarnated lovers cliché and a decent end and another one bites the dust. 

FL: Li Shiqi

Super cute little girl. Love the leads together. Spicy skinship and on fire kisses made you feel the passion. Especially, Zeng Hui's expressions at times when he inhales her scent. Quite a few moments of great chemistry! And kisses. (You know I love a good kiss scene!) The tension, especially with him, at times makes the heart flutter... ;)

I really liked the plot twist at the end. However, it also made me really dislike the ml even more for his physical abuse of the Fl. This series is a good example of not biting off more than you can chew. The fl was in way over her head.
I thought the chemistry with the MC good. I think Your Trap set my laptop on fire in comparison. Like, O.M.G.

One of the things I like about these short series is you never know exactly how some of the dialog or story lines will make you think about things. Like in this one. The question the fl asks herself, by asking her deceased mother, is whether or not she can trust the feelings of the ML and also herself. Once a trust is broken, even by another person, how does one learn to trust again? It's not like I haven't seen this before, it's just that it struck me more at this time.
Overall, I liked the premise that the ML was "hunting" her and chemistry was decent. Loved the friendship between fl and girlfriend. They had each other's back.

This one was pretty emotional and intense. Not for everyone, but it's interesting, to me, because of the deeper questions about who someone is as a person as represented by the characters. That doesn't mean I agree with all the choices or behaviors. That being said, there's some really smokin' kiss scenes with intense chemistry between the leads in this one. The censors must have been on break, lol.

I watched this because I recently discovered Lin Yong Ju and wanted to explore dramas he has done. He was crazypants here. Possessive, domineering, obsessive, jealous, aggressive and a bit psychotic. Oh, and manipulative. Wang Yi Ting as the fl is very pretty. I liked how she tried to stand up to him. I hope her character didn't do what I thought at the end, but the ending is abrupt and inconclusive. The whole drama was pretty much a train wreck. I'll also put a spoiler below for those looking at triggers.

I'd call this the series of the almost kiss, lol. I rated higher because I loved the sweet, friendly chemistry between the leads. They are super cute with their interactions. Their laughter together seemed totally natural and they were very comfortable together. Liked how the FL got revenge for her former self and protected her new dad and self.

The behind the scenes villain was well hidden in this because that person is never mentioned until near the end. It was sometimes a bit hard to figure out what was actually being said and that made understanding some actions/events harder. Left me questioning what was going on at times. The ML'S character was hard to read most of the time in regards to how he treated her. The FL'S character was both smart and stupid at times. I liked that she turned her life around. To me, the chemistry was meh. I liked her brother and friend.

Pretty good revenge from the FL to the villains. Fl was so perky and fun dealing with the violence and blood. Lol! Ml decided kissing was fun, lol. Ok chemistry and decent kisses. Loved how supportive the grandfather was. 

FL: "Husband, you were just so rude and violent. "

ML: "What, did I scare you?"

FL: "I love you so much for what you did just now! I beg you to never change in the future!"

ML(to himself): "Does this woman have a special fetish?"

Me: Snort laughing at midnight.

For me, a sweet, but understated romance. A few tension moments when you thought you'd see a kiss, lol. Not much passion, but somehow endearing to me. I really liked how FL, aided by ML, got revenge. I liked how FL's family got served at the end. Loved how ML's mom was gaga over FL. Overall, i enjoyed it even if it didn't give me my kisses, lol!

Well, its ok. I enjoyed looking at the 2nd and 3rd brothers, lol. Had it's cute moments. I like Wang Ge Ge and mostly watched because I'm trying to watch all the short series that she has done. The same for Zhang Ji Jun, although he's notas high on my list as some others.

It was somewhat disjointed and a bit difficult at times to follow, but since I've watched so many of these, it's not too bad. Sometimes you have to infer subtitles, lol.

Wish it had a stronger ending.

Nice visuals with MC. Sweet interaction with MC. Liked how protective the ML and his mom were to the FL. A couple of nice kiss scenes and several near kisses,lol. Loved the housekeeper!

Steamy, steamy, steamy. Lots of heat and passion with the leads. He can't keep his hands off of her, lol. It was a fun watch. Excuse me, I have to douse my computer... it set off the smoke alarm. :) 

Lin Yong Ju and Cheng Zi had some great chemistry in this one. That garden scene with them hiding from her "dead" husband and his green tea... ;)

I am so glad for the ending! What a stupid (And I RARELY use the word "stupid", BUT it is so warranted in this case!) idea those brothers came up with to manipulate the FL. If only there had been more kisses with the husband!

I love this pairing. I loved how the fl reacted when she found out his identity. Nice kisses, too lol!

Ma Xiao Yu did a good job of making me hate his character. Classic case of child being abused and growing up to repeat the cycle. Lan Lan did a good job at being terrified at times. I thought her character pretty simple and dimwitted at times. Like, ok, you faked your death. Let's go to places your crazypants psychotic husband is sure to be watching in case you show up. Under Zeng Hui's character's influence, she finally starts to build a little backbone and stand up more. He had his own bit of creep going on with her face, lol. Pretty intense scenes. This is one messed up ML. And, what, couldn't you have just taken the doc's money and left the city? LIke, the farther the better. Why stay and take the risk since it was so bad? I'll stop now. Guess this one made me feel a lot of things. ;)

I love his voice. Liked the edge he brings to these types of characters. _Shinigami_ stated it well in the comments below this comment on the drama title page. Wish it had more kisses because he's so good at those scenes, lol. Really like the FL as well :)

Really liked this one. Made me lol and smile. Liked how the MC interacted naturally.

Another series where the distrustful CEO is conquered by the kind, hardworking poor girl. For me, not much chemistry in this one for the MC. I did like how fl was introduced to ml and how kind the CEO actually was towards his employees. I think some episodes, or at least some scenes, were deleted since some parts jumped from one scene to another unrelated scene. Again, some subtitles missing. Overall, ok filler, unless you are watching for the actors. I did like how ml's mom was involved and how that lead to FL. 

I gave it a 7 because she left his sorry self. I'd have given an 8 if she had decided to do that when she found out he was sleeping with other women years ago.
The lesson, if someone treats you and your heart like less than dirt, run, don't walk away.
And don't go back!!

Looked like love at first sight for the ML. I watched primarily because I wanted to see more of these two actors. I liked how the ML became so protective of the FL. I liked that the FL wanted to stand on her own, but had to overcome her conditioning as a bullied victim. Which she made progress towards. And, isn't that the thing? Bullies and those that stand on the sidelines watching others be bullied exist in all nations and all cultures to some degree. I think that when bullying is shown like this in dramas, while horrible, it also allows for the opportunity to empower victims to grow into stronger people. Some brief kisses and a spicy, but short, scene near the beginning is about all the good skinship you'll get here. Some puppy dog eyes from our ML and a sweet FL wrap it up. But, I did love the ML's 3 older generations of fathers!

The MC is so beautiful together. Wish they had more kissing scenes, lol! I would have liked a more decisive ending, but it was still ok for me. It was good to see the FL kickin' butt (figuratively) and taking names. Green tea girl got some karma, so that's always a good. Just deserts for the ml's mom. And the ML? What, you're a general and you can't protect your so called love? FL, just pick someone else, lol.

It's not a great series, but to me, it was mostly a sweet family series. I love the FL's smiles. I love the kids and how the grandparents were so involved. I really liked how the ML wasn't like his reputation. The romance was lacking to me, but it was more sweet and mature. I loved the kids picking the wedding venue. I think some scenes or episodes were cut, because it took a bit before I understood this was also a switched at birth series. Also, some of the translations with subtitles was off and that took me to process, lol.

So. I liked this version somewhat better than "Mr. Bo, Stop Acting She Can't See" version of this story. Of course, I watched these back to back, so it's still fresh. I definitely liked how this version showed the MC falling in love and definitely more and better romantic scenes with the MC. I liked the plot differences from some of the others. This one was very closely, almost identical at times, the same as Mr. Bo... I liked the visuals of the MC as well and thought some costumes were much better.

This one made me laugh a lot ;)

So, the FL has the 7 year crush as the ML never remembered meeting her. Not even after he knew she already liked him and wasn't forced to marry him. He regretted not remembering her. I found them both harder to watch in the first half. It was better when he started to warm up to her. The last hour was much better after they started acknowledging each other's attraction. At least there's some steamy kisses to help soothe my viewing, lol! ;) only reason I rated as high as I did.

I like Zeng Hui and he's a total puppy for the FL here. It a bit nonsensical at times, but it made me smile. If only ZH had been given a kiss scene that would have utilized his supreme technique. Lol! Good message at the end about finding someone who loves you for who you really are. ;)

Overall, this was a bit bland for me. There was some decent chemistry with Wang Yi Ran and Lan Lan. They can both kiss up a storm. Here, it felt more like Wang Yi Ran was doing most of the heavy lifting. Probably because of the FL's character. I was glad for the ending. You can take that two ways, lol. However, I did rate this higher because of Wang Yi Ran's domineering, possessive, forceful and looming presence!

I really like the dynamics of these two together. That kid is super cute! Major plot twist for me near the end. Great chemistry.

The son was ADORABLE! Wish there had been more and better romance. And, like the grandfather insisted the ml marry the half sister because she was the daughter of his comrade, but didn't know the fl was the legitimate daughter of his comrade?? Didn't make sense. At least all the villains got karma. Except, I'm not sure what happened to the 2fl's mom. I wanted more happy times for the mc. But, that's the way the cookies crumbled. And, i really needed some kisses.

Mostly enjoyed the crazy friend duet trying to hide the truth. They just got more outrageous. Good example of how lies snowball. I liked how the ml gave those small smiles behind the Fl's back.

Not my favorite ending, but at least some karma came back. It was definitely emotional!

What a waste of Zhang Bei Xi here. I liked the premise with the fl casting spells and having supernatural powers. It just fell so short even for a vertical. At least I got to watch ZBX and see some good kisses. It would have been better if they were great kisses, but, hey, I take what I can get, lol. It seems like his dramas are less appealing with the new regulations in place for verticals. That can also be said for others as well.

Sweet romance with leads. A few good kisses ;) Lots of clichés, but it's what these series are, lol. Loved how the fl doesn't look back when she leaves the scumbag. What a selfish jerk. Crazy 2fl and, of course, it's always someone else's fault. Glad the "family" who kicked her out got karma. Loved her 2nd brother being so excited to find her. Loved how much the ml Loved her.

It's just cute! LOVE Zhen Zi Qi's voice!! Jia Yo Xuan is so beautiful and ADORABLE in her roles! But, she's also got bite in this one for what they did to her mom. Wish they had more kisses in this drama, then it would have been perfect for me. Well, maybe longer ending as well, ;).

First time watching these two that I can remember, lol. The end almost seemed cut off to me. Liked the ML's mom being supportive. Liked that the ml mellowed due to the fl. I've seen better kisses, but at least there was a kiss, lol! For me, it started with more potential for a better chemistry between the leads than I thought actually developed in the series. Although, I thought Yang Yanguang, the ml here, did a better job of expressing affection for the fl. He doesn't have a MDL page yet. At least i got an ending I can like. ;)

Pretty leads. A couple of good kisses. Looks like it's missing some time. I like Zou Ke Jun's intense look when he uses it. Wei Fan Shu was submitted for a MDL page, so maybe seeing more of her dramas soon. Love her hair. Wish it had a stronger ending. Romance really tapered off as soon they committed. Or maybe those scenes were cut.

Zhang Chu Xuan is always fun to watch. Zhan Zhuo is the ML here. He was definitely a little puppy towards the FL. On the surface, fl is fairly strong and smart. Underneath that exists all the fragility of a person damaged by being "abandoned" and then sexually assaulted. Ml quickly because enamored of fl while hating himself for those feelings. A few good kiss scenes and decent chemistry. Made me smile some, too.

Some steamy scenes. ML can kiss. Good chemistry with MC. Brother decided too late to love her. Ml had loved her since kids. Solid 8

Will she or won't she take him back? And, why should she after how he treated her? I think she was pretty resolute in not returning to that mess. However, there was enough of a look on the FL's face near the end that might indicate she would consider a renewal of feelings. My preference would be for her to meet someone new and have a very happy life. And, if she were to take the ML back, make him wait for at least the same amount of time as he mistreated her. But, you know, once that love has been killed, it can never be the same. I rated this sad romance higher only because I wanted her to not look back at him.

This one also combines parts of plot lines you see in almost all of these series. It was ok, especially if you are a fan of the leads. You never know what scenes get edited out that would help in explaining gaps or that might show a better, or any, romance between the MC. I would have liked more in that area for sure. I'm not super critical most of the time, so this one was mostly average for me.

I wanted to see the ml acknowledge that the fl wasn't responsible for what happened in the beginning. And the mother-in-law apologize to the fl, but that would have been out of her character. Of course, I always want more kisses, lol.

As the old saying goes, "If you looked up dysfunctional couple in the dictionary, there'd be a photo of these two". I REALLY didn't like the FL's character. His was more understandable based on what she did to him. Lessons to be learned...

Kinda boring, but at least there's some steamy kisses, lol. ;)

What a horndog. I really wanted to slap him around. And shake her. Oh, well, that's a Chinese drama for you, lol. Some lame elements added near the end. But, a twist from what you usually see. I really felt like I deserved a better ending. :)

Spicy kisses. Fl was emotionally scared. Ml was intense. Yu Long and Mie Mie have good rapport and chemistry together. A lot of the times, him more so than her.

One decent kiss scene. Glad for the growth of the stepbrother. Her mom was a waste.

Wang Yi Ge looks better in this drama without his glasses and with his hair wet, lol! Those expressive eyes! That was a terrifying, yet funny, scene with the women his "friend" set on him. Haven't seen that before in a vertical. Decent chemistry with the leads. First time watching Xia Jing Ran. Thought she did a good job. A few moderate kisses. Nice seduction in the tub. ;)

Got to admit I rated slightly higher just because I like Zhang Bei Xi. I saw everything I could find on YT for him prior to using MDL for these verticals. I'd been a longtime MDL member, but had never seen the appeal for mini dramas of 2 minute durations. Until I stumbled across some compiled into a "movie ". Zhang Bei Xi was one of the first I watched.
Even though this was a recycled plot, it was still fun to watch him. First time watching Zhang Xin Yun and you could tell she was new. But sure to improve. She did bubbly and sweet well. Throw in some karma for the baddies and a few decent kisses and a few pressed and it ended well. ;)

This series was different in that it combined several variations on this theme. I found it mostly interesting as it was somewhat harder to predict the next scene. I do not like Huang Bo as a ml who slaps women. I loved how the FL, after the switch, got back at the evil stepmother and stepsister. It did start to drag more the last 1/3. The kisses between Xie Hong Xin and the FL were great. Loved their chemistry and the romance was really only with them as a couple. I was satisfied with the revenge and the ending. If anyone knows the actress here as the FL, please let me know.

 Evil stepmother and stepsister plan car accident for FL. HB stops FL'S car by allowing her to crash into him. He ends up alive, but mostly paralyzed. He commits suicide to prevent her from the guilt of life saving grace and maybe a little to repent his crimes. The very end is the 2ml and fl getting married and a good kiss scene, lol.
Evil ones get life in prison. ;)

I liked the strong fl character a lot in this version. I did think Ma Le Jie was a bit stiff in this role, but still liked watching her. I wish the romance had been stronger. And I wanted some questions answered that weren't. But, I still rated higher than usual because of the fl character.

I watched for the leads, especially Wang Yi Ran. It had some cute stuff like the ml following the book the fl was pretending to be a character from so as to win her over. Zhao Mu Yan playing a little green tea against the green teas was also cute. That was a pretty charged scene near the beginning where she throws a red scarf in his lap.... WYR can do possessive/jealous well with his intense eyes, lol. Loved the grandmother. A few kisses near the end, mostly with lip action from WYR, lol. :)

Can't recommend this one unless you're a fan of Lan Lan or the ML. This one is very choppy, skipping to unrelated scenes at times. I don't think the synopsis is accurate, unless those scenes were deleted, because her father was never mentioned. You never are shown why they married. Questions were left unanswered. Subs were missing or wrong for parts and the last 13 minutes had only Chinese subs. NO romance. Only a ML who chose to believe the "green tea" girl, lol. I'm ticked off at my brain for being unable to stop once I start stuff like this. Works that way for reading, too. It probably all goes back to my childhood. You can blame everything on that....

The mc was a nice visual. Chemistry was ok. The kids were cute. Liked the grandmother. Of course, some questions unanswered, lol, so harder to make the leaps between some events. Interesting plot twist with twin brother and crazy 2fl. I liked the reveal at the end, but it also left a couple of questions for me. I liked how FL overcame some of her trauma and became more empowered. Ml was sweet and a good dad.

Slight twist on the same story, but I like watching the differences between the series. I liked the visual of these two together, but would have liked more chemistry between the two. And, there's no conclusion on what happens to the family infighting. That may have been edited out. Sometimes these are shorten too much. And, i didn't like how much lipstick they used on the ml. I think it detracted from his looks instead of enhancing his looks.

I became a bit bored with the FL character. I do like the leads, but thought the relationship was somewhat boring. The crazypants 2ml did a good job with his character. And evidently it would have killed someone to throw in a kiss scene. Sorta nailed the coffin for me.

Well, at least she left his sorry self. I'll just imagine she got her HE at some point. I wish I knew what happened to her 1/2 sister. Probably in a deleted scene. Wish the subtitles where complete at the end to know what she said. Always some moral lessons in these series. I thought both actors did well in their roles. I couldn't muster up much sympathy for the ml and it was sometimes hard for the fl. But then, she was only 10 at the beginning and was shaped by him. Anyway, another one checked off for these actors.

 Did she keep their baby or not? 

It would have been helpful if I could read Chinese for that paper she was holding in her hand, lol. It probably was a doctor order for an abortion. I think if she was going to keep the baby there would have been more positive body language indicating she cared more about keeping the baby rather than aborting. I just hope that she finally, truly let him go to start her life again.
